dude......are you on crack!!!!!!!!!!! How dare you not mention "Brian Westbrook".....you must of had him as your fantasy back, then he screwed you when he downed it at the 1 yd line against dall-ass.......

Thanks for the comment wstcsteagles,

He did screw me but I am not one to hold a grudge. I just didn't mention him because he is a known quantity. He is one of the top backs and will continue to be.

To me the fantasy news centers around McNabb and the passing game. Don't worry, Westbrook will get the love come training camp.

thanks for clearing that up....A healthy mcnabb will be one of the best fantasy qb's, as he has proven in the past....ofcouse with the help of the TE's & WR's

The Cowboys were a solid squad last year, and I do believe the loss of players from NY is a detrimental twist to defend the crown. I have to agree with my man wstceagles here. It is completely fair to boast about the 11 pro-bowlers to return to the Cowboys, it is unfair to not count a healthy Westbrook, and L.J. Smith in the equation. Although L.J. is not consistent, he is athletic, and a great red zone threat. Many of the games the Eagles lost were between 3-7 points, and a RED ZONE threat is what they need, not necessarily a #1 wide-out. Someone to convert within the twenty would give the birds a competitive chance. A new TE in the scheme must have been a calculated gesture by the front office as well. I am willing to give our new Bird a chance to fly...

your and idiot... the cowboys are wayyy overrated.... though romo has good regular season numbers he's still a choke in the playoffs. and to tell you the truth i dont see the cowboys comming out on top n the nfc east. my pick is the eagles. the giants have goten worse after loosing a couple big parts in there defense .. plus the pressure to repeat is going to be much harder. the skins are...... well the skins and there not doing anything. Last year's playoff birth was a rally for shawn taylor. ike i said the cowboys are overrated and the only reason why they had 10 pro bowlers was because the media built them up so much...... which leaes me with the eagles....... up grades in corner and linebacker... the eagles have created what they take so much pride in and thats a dominating defense the offense will be fine with the addition of a wide reciever. because our roll players like curtis, reggie brown are solid so we need one more threat.......... so all in alll my pickes or the division will be this.....1-eagles 2-cowboys 3-giants and 4- redskins

You lay out a decent case but we'll see it is early. Good pints on the d. Like I said in the article. All comes down to McNabb.

Thanks for the comment.

Phillympo3, if this is a prediction for the regular season then it should not matter if you think Romo is a post season choke. By your own admission he is going to put up the regular season numbers and that is how you win a division. You see, that part of the competition is over when you reach the playoffs. As for the discussion about the regular season I hope your team does get the wide receiver you are whining about. That way it will be more fun to watch McNabb get sacked another fifty times next season with a receiver wide open.

Wow, lots of Eagles whining in here. With Slappy McFatt as the QB, a TE that can't stay healthy, and no WR, the Eagles are in for a long season. One bad turn on Westbrook and they're staring down a 5-11 season instead of an 8-8 season.

Sure, but if the Cowboys lost Owens, or the Giants lost Plexico, or the Redskins lost Portis it wouldn't be much different. I

I'd liken the Eagles losing Westbrook more in line with the Cowboys losing both Owens and Romo. Westbrook means that much to the Eagles offense. He is their run game. He is their pass game. Westbrook is easily a 3-4 game difference maker for them.

If the Cowboys lost Owens, they still can lean on the run game. If they lost Owens, there is still Glenn/Crayton/Witten. If the Eagles lost Westbrook, uh-oh.

True. The Giants and Redskins are in similiar situations, though for different reasons. The overall mediocrity would hurt them where as Westbrook is a true dominating player. I think you are right on with Westbrook being a four game difference.

Thanks for the comments guys! I figured it would be a lively discussion especially on this site - which seems to be Eagles central (nothing wrong with that for the record).

I don't see a problem with Westy not being mentioned there. He is kind of a given. If would be like talking about Phillip rivers fantasy-wise this year coming back from his injury. You don't have to talk about LT. you know he is going to get his.

cowboyswin...... face it no super bowl for you stupid cowboys

All of you are idiots! First of all, the Giants will not repeat, as long as Tony Romo has a girlfriend the Cowboys will not be any good, and the Redskins, well are just the Redskins! Did you all forget the Eagles got Asante Samuels? He lead the league in picks 2 years ago. The Eagles will have the best secondary in the league this year, and they are quicker up front! Thier defense will give the offense the success it needs! Nuff said! GO IGGLES!
