Miami Dolphins - DE Chris Long, Virginia The Dolphins take Howie Long's son with the first pick in the draft. Long played in a 3-4 defensive system at Virginia and excelled in it. Bill Parcells looks to implement this defense in Miami, and grabs what he thinks is the best player in the draft. VIDEO>> 2. St. Louis Rams - OT Jake Long, Michigan Long is the premier franchise tackle in this draft. Orlando Pace's Hall of Fame career is nearing an end, and the Rams need to find his successor. The Rams offensive line was in shambles last year, and needs to be fixed. 3. Atlanta Falcons - DT Glenn Dorsey, LSU The Falcons grab a great DT to bolster their defensive line. The team could use a franchise QB, but the talent of Dorsey is too hard to pass up here. He becomes a starter from day one, and will be a force in the middle for Atlanta. VIDEO>> ....Read More>>

  • mmmmmmmm interesting, thanks for the great read!!!

    19. Philadelphia Eagles - OT Chris Williams, Vanderbilt

The Eagles have not given up on Winston Justice, but he is better suited to play his natural position of RT. At LT Tra Thomas is entering the final year of his contract, and will be gone after that. Williams is a big physical LT that will groomed to replace Thomas. CB, DE, and WR are other team needs, but Williams talent is too much to pass up here.

i agree. an offensive tackle in the first round makes the most sense. also, reid always favors offensive linemen in the first round.

if william thomas keeps getting injured then you may be right

Sup CK?, yeah from listenning to Heckert this morning they're still high on Justice, but I think the defense should be addressed with our first pick. From what I hear that draft is pretty loaded with O-linemen so we shouldnt have to use our first pick on one.

I def see us taking a quality OT in the first round if there is still one available. Not too many mocks have us selection one, but out of all the linemen for big Reid to select this year I see OT as the most likely and DE as the runner up. Anything besides a lineman in the first round would come as a complete shock to me.
On another note I read that starting this year the NFL draft will be different. After the record 6+ hour 1st round last year they have made the following changes to liven up draft day:
-1st round picks from 15 mins to 10 mins
-1st day starts at 3 pm, not noon
    -1st day cut to rounds 1 & 2 only
Hopefully this year's draft isnt the torture that last year's was. Watching us trade out of the first round with the MF'n Cowboys and then use our first pick on a QB was bad enough, waiting 7 hours to see it all happen is what pissed me off. I look for the complete opposite this time around; if the NFL is doing their best to not piss us off on draft day, the Eagles better match the effort. Holla

I agree with you on Diehl but I'm not sure that warrants picking a tackle with the Giants first pick. I see you also listed LB or CB which seems more probable. Also, why do make it sound like Gibril leaving is all but a done deal? The Giants will be going after him hard in order to re-sign him.

completely agree, ive been saying it all along (although its not that hard to figure out), were going after a fat boy in the 1st round this year! especially because theyre worried about replacing Tra thomas (dont care what he calls himself now) after winston completely shocked everyone with his sucking this year
