5. New York Jets Have Failed To Score A Touchdown This only preseason, as Rex Ryan will be the first to tell you. However, it is still a cause for concern when you don't score any touchdowns in the first two games and you have Super Bowl aspirations.Mark Sanchez hasn't necessarily had the worst preseason, as he is 13/17 for 80 yards. He does have the single interception from last weeks game against the Giants, but that isn't the worst part. The bad part is Sanchez has only averaged 4.4 yards per throw, which is not something fans are wanting to see.So far, the "Tim Tebow Project" has failed in New York. Unless the plan was to see how much media attention you could bring to your team, if that's the case, than it has been the best move Rex Ryan ever made.Tim has gone 9/22 (43%) for for 96 yards and one interception. Yes, he has more yards than Sanchez, but do not get it confused, Mark Sanchez is the starting quarterback of the New York Jets and he has two mor...

New York Jets 2012 Season Predictions – Offense

Tony Sparano and Rex Ryan With the season opener just weeks away the time has come to make some predictions for both individual Jet players and the team as a whole.  I make these predictions from my personal observations, media reports and general overall feelings regarding where the team is and where it will be in the end.  I will have this post with predictions for the offense...

Darrelle Revis doubts if Jets have given Mark Sanchez enough surrounding talent

It was no secret that locker room issues played a significantly role in the Jets’ poor season last year, so the last thing they need is a confidence problem heading into 2012. From the sound of it, they may already have one. While Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow have had nothing but positive things to say about the new offense Tony Sparano is incorporating, the guys on the other side...

New York Jets: Biggest Home Game of the Year

In his third season as head coach of the New York Jets, Rex Ryan saw his team take a step back, failing to reach the playoffs for the first time during his tenure. How did the Jets respond during the offseason? They added one of the most polarizing figures in the NFL today: Tim Tebow. Just having Tebow on the sidelines is reason enough for fans to show up on most Sundays, but New...

Are the Jets desperately trying to unload Santonio Holmes?

New York Jets wide receiver, Santonio Holmes, is scheduled to make his first appearance of the preseason against the Carolina Panthers this Sunday. According to Mark Sanchez the rift between the Holmes and himself is “ancient” history, but rumors are circulating via Twitter that the Jets may be looking to unload Holmes. Sure, Twitter rumors are [...]

New York Jets: Offensive-Line Shuffle

Dear New York Jets, Please excuse Mark from football practice until you can provide pass protection for him so that he may live to see his 26th birthday. Signed, Sanchez’ mother To say that the Jets’ offensive line has played horribly would be an understatement. Abysmal seems appropriate as they have given up 12 sacks in two preseason games. RT Wayne Hunter has been benched...

Out of the Hunt

When Rex Ryan held a private meeting with starting right tackle Wayne Hunter on Wednesday, the 31-year-old veteran had a feeling his days in the Jets' starting lineup were over.

New York Jets' Wayne Hunter Loses Starting Job to Austin Howard

New York Jets right tackle Wayne Hunter has been relegated to backup duty, losing his starting job to Austin Howard. Rex Ryan revealed today that Wayne Hunter has finally been replaced in the starting lineup after showing no signs of improvement during the preseason to this point. Austin Howard will be given a shot to cement himself as the starting right tackle. Austin Howard...

Jets won’t commit to Wayne Hunter as week 1 starter

Jets’ Head Coach Rex Ryan has publicly stood behind right tackle Wayne Hunter all offseason, even though he was awful last season, his first full season as a starter, committing 11 penalties and allowing 11 sacks, 11 quarterback hits, and 32 quarterback pressures. He also struggled as a run blocker and graded out as ProFootballFocus’ 67th offensive tackle out of 73. Privately...

Opportunities Thrown Jordan White's Way

Florham Park, N.J.: Everyone knows Santonio Holmes, Jeremy Kerley and Chaz Schilens have missed plenty of practice time due to injuries during the preseason.Although today Rex Ryan said Holmes and Kerley are progressing and are "maybes" to play against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, (Schilens has been ruled out, ankle) the injuries to the wide receivers have allowed...
