MECHANICAL FAILURE
According to an independent QB coach who recently worked out with the Jets backup QB, NFL teams will be pleasantly surprised with what they see from Ol' Timmy in 2013.
The Jets' season may have dodged another big blow during Monday night's showdown against the Houston Texans.
Starting center Nick Mangold was carted off with an ankle injury in the first half, but returned with two seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Mangold, who was able to gingerly walk off the field under his own power, was replaced by left guard Matt Slauson.

Nick Mangold has changed his mind and is leaving training camp with the New York Jets to watch his sister Holley compete in the Olympics in London.
The All-Pro center had insisted previously that he wouldn't go because he didn't want to leave his teammates in the middle of camp to take an overseas trip. But coach Rex Ryan kept trying to lay ''the guilt trip on him...

Superheavyweights Sarah Robles and Holley Mangold, sister of New York Jets center Nick Mangold, qualified for the London Games on Sunday at the women's U.S. Olympic weightlifting trials.

Serious question, is there anyone on the Jets as respectable as Nick Mangold? Just listening to this interview, you can tell the kind of player on teammate that Nick Mangold is, a clear leader. When “anonymous players” were quick to bash Mark Sanchez recently in a piece from Manish Mehta, Mangold was the first person to come to Mark’s...
Florham Park, N.J. - The question most commonly asked by reporters this week has been, "What's the biggest difference between where this Jets team is now as opposed to where they were before the last game against the Patriots?" A simple question gets a simple answer, the play of the offensive line is easily the biggest difference. Of course that has a lot to do with...
Florham Park, N.J. - Without Nick Mangold the Jets offensive line was a horrid mess, but once the All-Pro center returned the offensive line steadily improved to get back on track and it's hardly a coincidence that the Jets won two of their three games since Mangold's return. After a few straight weeks of playing with limited practice reps Mangold has good news for Jets...
