We continue our position group analyses with a look at the offensive tackles. While Total Titans has often been critical of the offensive line in the last three years, we do recognize the Titans have one of the better tackle tandems in the league, particularly in pass protection. Michael Roos has started every game for the Titans since he was drafted in 2005. He was the Titans' starting right tackle as a rookie and moved to left tackle the following season, replacing the retiring Brad Hopkins, who had been a fixture there since 1993. Roos' best season by far was 2008, when he was named first-team All-Pro and selected to the Pro Bowl. His contract runs through 2014, a voidable year. More after the jump.
David Stewart, a classmate of Roos in the 2005 draft, took over the right tackle spot from Roos in 2006. He was selected to the All-Pro second-team for his work in the 2009 season, when he was the Titans' best offensive lineman. Like Roos, Stewart signed a six-y...

Titans sticking with Derrick Morgan as starting DE
The Tennessee Titans have maintained that Derrick Morgan is still the starter at left defensive end, and that is the word he is going with.
For more than a week, Morgan, the Titans' first-round pick in 2010, has been operating mostly with the second-team line, including in Saturday night's preseason opener at Seattle. Former practice squad player Pannel Egboh has been getting...
No certainty for Titans QBs
Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak says he saw some good things from Jake Locker in Saturday night's 27-17 preseason loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
The question is whether his coaching staff saw enough from Locker to allow him to dethrone Matt Hasselbeck as the starting quarterback.
Locker went 7 for 13 for 80 yards and directed the Titans to a field goal, their only points...

Titans coach Mike Munchak announced on Monday that Jake Locker will be the starting quarterback for the Titans in Friday's preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hasselbeck started the preseason opener, but Munchak said Locker had closed the gap...
Jake Locker > Matt Hasselbeck
I might be top 10 this season Juan…
Hass looked sh*tty in with the starters going 5 for 9 with 2 interceptions. Locker and the offense started slow, but then he looked sharp as hell with 5 straight completions, with 3 going to rookie Kendall Wright. I have had a man crush on Locker all Summer and he has stayed at 15 in my rankings due to his immense upside. He looked the...

Mike Munchak Doesnt Rule Out Titans WR Kenny Britt Playing In Preseason
Is there really a chance Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt could play in the teams fourth preseason game? Titans coach Mike Munchak seemed to waver on the answer to that question on Monday. Britt remains on PUP with a knee injury, and he has been working on his own with trainers for the past several days. Hes progressing, doing more and more every day, and the knee has been...

2012 NFL Preseason Week 1: Seahawks vs. Titans
Quarterbacks
Seattle: Despite being content with short passes (6.5 yards per his eleven completions), Matt Flynn showed quick release and awareness of both sides of the flat.
After going 8-for-8, Flynn had a pass snagged over the middle by an unseen Colin McCarthy.
Flynn’s only other true mistake was taking his eyes off a shotgun snap, resulting in a 10-yard loss after the fumble...
