West Virginia’s Tavon Austin is the most explosive wide receiver and return specialist in the 2013 NFL Draft. He is arguably in the top two at his position and easily the most polished. Austin in 2012 was selected to the First Team All Big East and Big East Special Teams Player of the Year.
Austin is undersized, but an elusive threat who figures to work out of the slot at the next level given his short-area quickness and ability to turn a five yard catch into a highlight reel. He fits in the Randall Cobb mode, but has better instincts for the big play. His special teams play can add an extra dimension to a team that needs big plays from the return game.
Doesn’t have elite hands and will drop a few when he takes his eyes off the ball while looking up field. His size raises durability questions, built in a similar mold of DeSean Jackson. Austin might have trouble being physical getting off the line of scrimmage and fighting through defenders.

Mississippi State’s Jonathan Banks was the winner of the 2012 Jim Thorpe Award and selected as a Walter Camp All-American. He is a tall, lean defensive back in the mold NFL team are looking for to guard the ever growing wide receivers. Has a similar build to Dominique Cromartie-Rodgers, however, may be better suited playing safety at the next level.
The Chargers re-signed restricted free agent receiver Danario Alexander to a one-year contract Thursday. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPNFantasy Spin:The Bolts found their No. 1 receiver in the middle of the season, and fantasy owners also found a reliable WR3 down the stretch in the oft-injured 24-year-old. While owners may remember his goose egg in Week 15, Alexander ended up catching...
According to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net, both the Titans and Chargers are thinking about drafting Alabama offensive lineman D.J. Fluker in the first round of this week’s NFL draft. Last week we reported it looked very unlikely DJ Fluker/Alabama would make it out of the top half of round one. That was further confirmed today after sources told me the Tennessee Titans and San...

NFL News: The San Diego Chargers have agreed to terms with fullback Chris Gronkowski. Chris played with the Denver Broncos after getting traded from the Colts in 2012. He caught just one pass for the Broncos and will likely struggle to make the final roster. He is a decent run blocker but is known to struggle in pass protection. The Chargers already have Le’Ron McClain as their...
