NFL Trade Rumors:
Matt Maiocco of the CSN Bay Area reports that 49ers DE Justin Smith missed practice on Thursday and his status for Week 16 in “serious doubt.“
Smith suffered an elbow injury last weekend against the Patriots. With Smith out of the game, New England was able to start moving the ball consistently, so this could end up being a big advantage for the Seahawks heading into their matchup on Sunday.
Ricky Jean Francois would start in his place if he is indeed unable to suit up.

BEST OF MAXIM
San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois has been preparing all week to start in place of All-Pro Justin Smith on the NFL's second-ranked defense.
The 49ers remain uncertain whether that will actually happen Sunday night in a NFC West showdown against the Seattle Seahawks.
Smith's availability is in question after he missed practice Friday because of an...
Sarah Redden in the new rapping YouTube sensation. This 5-year old little girl is rap/singing about Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers going to the Super Bowl. This video is a bit more fancy than most home made YouTube videos. Not to mention they went all out with the fake tattoos, and can even pronounce “organically” correct. Check out the video below.
Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh have a history together, they both coached in the PAC-10. Carroll ran the monster years of USC dominating, while Harbaugh flew a little under the radar until Andrew Luck brought Stanford out of darkness.
The two know each other very well and Carroll even lambasted Harbaugh for running up the score on his team.
Of coarse that was after Carroll had...
PEOPLE: THEY'RE THE WORST
After retweeting a death threat he received on Wednesday, it appears that San Francisco 49ers kicker David Akers has shut down his Twitter account.
A couple of weeks back, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was riding the bench as Alex Smith lead the team to the top of the NFC West.
Now, Kaepernick has them one win away from clinching the division and he has earned the admiration of 49ers fans across the world.
Check out this rather cute tribute rap song that a little 49ers fans did in honor of Colin:
After initially saying that after Colin Kaepernick became the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, it felt as if “someone took the handcuffs off me,” tight end Vernon Davis is now saying that he and Kaepernick are not on the same page.
Of course, if you looked inside the numbers over the past few games, you could have figured that out for yourself.
The 49ers beat the unbeatable Patriots last week and now have a chance to prove they are the Super Bowl favorite.
The season is coming to a close and I'm sitting at 142-82. That's over .600 but I can do better.
Here's a look at week 16

As reporters circled around Ricky Jean Francois in the 49ers locker room Friday, teammates Randy Moss, Colin Kaepernick and Mike Iupati each stopped by to call out good-natured questions from behind the crowd, drawing laughs all around. Nobody seems too worried about Jean Francois stepping in for stalwart defensive leader Justin Smith at Seattle on Sunday, particularly not Jean Francois.
The Colin Kaepernick rap by five year old Sarah Redden is making its way into the hearts of San Fransisco 49er fans and the like, it has been going viral all over the internet.
Sarah raps about Kaepernick, the 49ers quarterback in the following video.
“Wearing No. 7 like Colin Kaep, talking Super Bowl wins, he’s bringing them back,” Sarah raps in the video, covered in fake...
Going on the road and beating the New England Patriots snapping a 20 game winning streak at home in December, earned 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick the award for NFC offensive player of the week award. Kaepernick, the controversial choice of Jim Harbaugh is making the man look like a genius at this point. Kaepernick led the 49ers to a 41-34 win and the second-year quarterback...

The 49ers won last week and earned this spot, at least until they lose in Seattle this week. Then would Seattle be #1 even though you can’t trust them to win a single road playoff game, let alone 3 (4 if you include the neutral site Super Bowl)? Would it be the Patriots...
By a 5-year-old girl who really, really likes quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers.
Dashon Goldson has a stack of manila envelopes in his locker, filing away the paperwork every time the NFL has fined the 49ers’ Pro Bowl free safety. While he has heard from the league office more than a dozen times in his six-year career, the letters often had little to do with his hard-hitting ways until this season.
