Defensive tackle Justin Smith is practicing for a second straight day, and while he again is doing so with a brace on his left elbow, he is not wearing a no-contact jersey.
Smith missed the previous two weeks of practice with a bone spur in his elbow after partially tearing a triceps tendon Dec. 16 at New England.
Those wearing black, no-contact jerseys (as has been the case much of the past month) are linebackers Aldon Smith (shoulder) and Tavares Gooden (ribs), cornerback Tarell Brown (shoulder), fullback Bruce Miller (shoulder) and defensive tackle Will Tukuafu (neck). They did not wear those black jerseys Thursday because it was a walk-through practice.
