The San Francisco 49ers cruised to an easy 45-3 victory over the Buffalo Bills yesterday, but they received a scare when quarterback Alex Smith left the field with a hand injury. Fortunately for the 49ers, X-ray results showed a sprained finger and the injury isn’t considered a significant, reports Cam Inman of the Mercury News: Although he left Candlestick with his finger wrapped in a bandage, the injury doesn’t appear serious, or at least it didn’t minutes earlier as he got dressed and pulled up his socks at his locker. Smith turned in another impressive performance for San Francisco yesterday, as he completed 18 of 24 pass attempts for 303 yards and three touchdowns. So far this season the 28-year-old has thrown for 1087 yards and eight touchdowns with only one interception over his five games, good for a QB rating of 108.7. Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt
