Some 1st round Trade-Up Scenarios for Packers GM Ted Thompson
Hmmmmm, who can I hoodwink?
With the Packers already holding the maximum 12 picks in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft, the odds would seem to favor seeing the Packers trade-up in one of the early rounds, in exchange for giving up multiple picks in later rounds.
Of course, with Ted Thompson, that’s only going to happen if a player he covets is unexpectedly within reach, but unlikely...
If Nick Collins Wants to Play, Let Him Play
Nick Collins after suffering a neck injury versus the Panthers
Tom Silverstein of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel wrote yesterday about how Green Bay Packers’ safety Nick Collins hopes that he’ll be able to return for the 2012 season.  While the ultimate decision will be made by Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson regarding Collins’ future, the basic fact still remains that Collins...

Teams with new head coaches, such as the Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams, were able to begin their programs last week, but Mike McCarthy and crew wonâ€...

Which Soph Will Step Up for Pack?
Smith is one of a number of second-year players who could step up for the Packers in 2012
A couple of things absolutely must happen if the Packers are going to improve on defense in 2012. One, general manager Ted Thompson must come up with an impact player in next month’s draft. And two, B.J. Raji and Tramon Williams must bounce back from disappointing seasons. Another thing that...
Healthy Green Equals Excitement
Talented young running back should contribute in 2012
Regardless of which players general manager Ted Thompson chooses in the upcoming draft, I doubt any of them will excite me as much as a young player already on the roster. I’m referring to Alex Green, the second-year running back whose rookie season was ended by a torn ACL in week 7. According to Mike McCarthy, rehabilitation...

A shirtless Donald took the stage for Rock week — It was one of the most memorable dances of the season. Old man judge Len Goodman asked to compare tattoos with Donald after the show. Packing the Stats: Numbers and Notes From Around the Web
As you may know from reading my past blog posts, I love me some stats. I don’t think they’re the be-all and end-all when it comes to football, but I do think they are a useful tool to use when analyzing a team, a unit, or a player. Perhaps that’s why I enjoy following sites like Pro Football Focus (PFF) and Football Outsiders (FO).
These two groups of data crunchers put a lot...
Ex-Packers start 'Three Fat Guys' wine label
Three Fat Guys wine. It's a silly name for a pricey bottle of cabernet sauvignon, but that's exactly the way that these three NFL offensive linemen like it.
Daryn Colledge, Tony Moll and Jason Spitz -- all of whom were drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2006 -- spent the past several years working to create their very own wine label. With business opportunities now coming...

The Sports Xchange reports that Nick Collins and his agents are expected to huddle with team officials in Green Bay the week of April 8, perhaps bringing closure to the guessing game on whether Collins will be able to resume his playing career. DANCIN’ DONALD DRIVER SCORES BIG WITH DWTS ROCK WEEK ROUTINE!!
It’s safe to say Donald Driver is going after the DWTS title with a driven lunacy. He just may wind up winning it.

Packers FS Nick Collins Optimistic About NFL Return
Roughly six months after New York-based spinal surgeon Frank Cammisa opened a hole in the front of Nick Collins' neck and repaired a herniated disc by fusing two of his vertebrae together, the Packers safety is nearing decision time regarding his career according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. And to be sure, Collins wants to play. He has reiterated to...
Megatron spikes Gronk; faces Rodgers in Madden ’13 cover semis
Despite Rob Gronkowski’s lame theatrics, Calvin Johnson advanced to the semifinals of the Madden ’13 cover tournament. It wasn’t much of a contest as Megatron beat Gronk 63% to 37%.
Calvin now faces intra-division rival, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Should he advance passed Rodgers, he will face the winner of San Francisco 49ers stud linebacker Patrick Willis and Carolina...
Packers, Collins ponder future.
Â
It only took one hit, one sudden moment for the life and career of Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl safety Nick Collins to change forever. In week 2 of the 2011 NFL season, in a game against the Carolina Panthers, Collins went to make an ordinary  tackle,  like he's done a thousand times, yet  this time, Collins neck collided awkwardly with Carolina running back Jonathan...
