The 49ers haven't said exactly why they're suspending Jacobs. They could have just released the 30-year-old runnig back as he is only signed for this season, but coach Jim Harbaugh and the team likely wanted to send a message.
Jacobs complained last week about playing for the 49ers, saying, “I am on this team rotting away so why would I wanna put any pics up of anything that say niners,” Jacobs wrote in an Instagram post Saturday. “This is by far the worst year I ever had.”.
He has just five carries for 7 yards in two games this season.
Thank you all for all your support, I am doing wonderful it's not a big deal things happen, I am strong enough to ... tmi.me/Ccs2m

49ers Waive RB Brandon Jacobs
Kyle Bonagura reports that the San Francisco 49ers have waived RB Brandon Jacobs.
Since signing with the 49ers, Jacobs has seen only 5 carries the entire season. It was pretty clear that Jim Harbaugh and the coaching staff preferred to play their other running backs like Kendall Hunter, LaMichael James and Anthony Dixon in relief of Frank Gore.
There’s actually a chance,...
