During San Francisco 49ers training camp on Tuesday, multiple fights broke out between a bevy of players, reportedly centered around linebacker Fred Warner and wideout Brandon Aiyuk. Head coach Kyle Shanahan discussed the extracurricular activities from earlier in the week during Friday's session.

Shanahan called Fred Warner's hit on Johnson "an unnecessary shot."
Said he 'understood' Aiyuk fighting Warner
David Lombardi of The Athletic noted earlier this week that there is a bit of history between Aiyuk and Warner. Last week, Aiyuk called the 2020 All-Pro linebacker "annoying" and "irritating," whereas Warner said the treatment of the first-round pick was purely motivational.
Johnson -- who turns 28 on Friday -- is low on the Niners' wide receivers depth chart, buried behind the likes of projected starters Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings and Aiyuk. He registered nine receptions for 160 scoreless yards on 19 targets across seven games (three starts) with the Tennesse Titans in 2021, before joining San Francisco in the offseason.
Warner paced the team with a career-high 137 tackles, while recording four passes defended and a career-high three fumble recoveries as well.
