Summary:
Hang up the phone on those Super Bowl tickets Cleveland Browns fans. Wait to at least see what happens this week @ Washington. Yes they lost to the St. Louis Rams but they also have road wins against Dallas and Philadelphia. No team is going to go undefeated. Sometimes upsets happen (i.e. Monday night vs. NY Giants).

The Cincinnati Bengals are not getting better. They have no QB (Carson is out this week) and no running game. The defense has played better than usual but being how terrible their defenses have been that's not saying much. It is going to be a long season.

The Baltimore Ravens declared Joe Flacco their starting QB for the rest of the season and then they got spanked by Indy. Some are wondering if they should go back on that and give Troy Smith a go. We'll see what happens against the Dolphins.

The Pittsburgh Steelers should beat the Cincinnati Bengals easily this week. I also thought that about the NY Giants on Monday (If I sound a little bitter, Eli is on my fantasy team. And 3 picks do not make me happy). So who knows what will happen. All I can say is this. Pittsburgh=Good. Cincinnati=Bad. Elementary yes but so true.

Ravens 36, Eagles 7: Grading the Ravens

Quarterback: B Joe Flacco had a fine game. His first half was shaky and he looked a step behind, but so did both offenses. By the second half, Flacco was making his reads and finding his targets. His pass to Wilcox in the endzone was a beaut, but it was the pass to Clayton, burning a [...]

Troy Smith's Place in Buckeye History

At some point during the season, about the time that the Heisman became Troy Smith's to lose, a friend of mine asked me if I thought Troy Smith's number would be retired. As I believe I have metioned before, I eventually decided that it would be if he won the Heisman, but it was tough to get used to ...

FantasyFootball.com is reporting that the Ravens are going to take a long look at WR Darrius Hayward-Bey, starting with a workout on the 23rd. Joe Flacco, 15-year-old girl?

Ravens FB Lorenzo Neal, 16-year veteran, on his rookie QB:"Here's who Joe Flacco is. Our defense is like the most popular dude in school a?" a senior, the homecoming king. Flacco is like the beautiful sophomore girl he keeps bringing to all the dances, and now she's his prom date. Everybody ...

Ravens’ Live Blog Tonight….Around Eight-ish

I wish that I could promise that every minute of the Ravens preseason game against the New England Patriots will be covered via live blog. Unfortunately, a commitment will possibly hinder me from being around for kickoff. With that being said, please feel free to hang out in the Fan-Sided Forums and check back every so often. We will be rocking and rolling sometime in the first quarter...

Quick Thoughts: Ravens vs. Texans

Ravens Dominate Texans 41-13 A Joe Flacco made great progress as a QB today. With his favorite target going down early he was forced to find other options in the passing game, which lead to Todd Heap finally looking like his old self. Joe stretched the defense with multiple deep throws, one resulting is a TD to [...]

McNair to Retire

A 1pm press conference has been scheduled for today to announce the retirement of Baltimore Ravens quarterback, Steve McNair. Earlier this year, new Ravens Head Coach, Jon Harbaugh, announced that McNair would enter training camp as the starter. Now what? With just quarterbacks Kyle Boller and Troy Smith on the roster, it seems likely that Baltimore will be scouting for a new signal...

Beyond Round 1: QB Joe Flacco

Every day this week, we will look past Round 1 of the upcoming NFL Draft and focus on some other prospects. The Chicago Bears could still go after a quarterback even if they re-sign Rex Grossman, so could a small-school signal-caller like Delaware's Joe Flacco be the next QB of the future?

Kyle Boller to Start Ravens’ Preseason Opener

You knew it was going to happen, as it does almost every year. Kyle Boller will be the starting quarterback for the Ravens this Thursday against the New England Patriots. And you know what? That actually might be the best move. Troy Smith's struggles have been well-documented this season, as have the solid performances of Joe Flacco and Boller. The ideal concept is for Boller, who...

Flacco to start!? Hell no

AOL's Ryan Wilson today posted an article with the title, "It looks like Joe Flacco will be the Ravens starter at some point in '08," and he proceeds to offer no evidence that I could see other than the fact that Flacco took most of his mini-camp snaps from the shotgun formation. There might be other evidence hiding in there somewhere. I only read the post once. And even that was...

Week 17 Quick Hitters

--Bill Parcells has a guaranteed $9M out in his Dolphins deal, assuming Huizenga sells his share next month. This gives Redskins Park a collective boner.--The Patriots miss the playoffs at 11-5. Hey, Aren’t You…Michael Phelps?

Not the kind of thing you want to hear if you are Ravens' rookie quarterback Joe Flacco. Another Raven, rookie quarterback Joe Flacco, was getting a different kind of attention last weekend.
