Found April 24, 2008 on Pro Football Talk:
The Denver Broncos are back in the business of picking up one-time single-digit draft picks who play on the defensive line. According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, the Broncos have acquired defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson, the fourth overall pick in the 2003 draft, from the New York Jets. In return, the Jets will receive a late-round conditional draft pick in 2009. The Jets really had no choice but to take what they could get. With a $3 million roster bonus due in June, the Jets were going to cut Robertson if they weren't able to trade him. The next question is whether the Broncos have already restructured Robertson's contract. It could be that they've yet to do so, and that one of the conditions is that the Broncos must sign him to a new deal or the Jets get nothing.

Eagles To Trade For Dewayne Robertson?

Jets' defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson visited the Nova Care Complex on Friday(nothing beats 2 day old news). The Eagles worked Robertson out, and gave him a physical. They don't have to say it, but these actions obviously mean they have some serious interest in Robertson, and may trade for him in ...

What the hell ….

It’s only the official fourth day of NFL free agency and already the Bengals have confounded every football brain trust known to man. First they trade for Shaun Rodgers, then they don’t. Then they acquire Dewayne Robertson, DT with the Jets, then they don’t. Somehow, in the midst of...

A Jets Fan's Thoughts the Night Before the Draft

This is going to be the year I don't talk myself into the Jets first round pick. The Tannenbaum/Mangini era has been ok, I have no problem with Revis, Mangold or Ferguson. But these bastards aren't going to pull the wool over my eyes with another DeWayne Robertson or Bryan Thomas or Kyle Brady or Blair Thomas (AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH). They made some positive moves in the off...

NY Jets Draft Picks. A History of Really Bad Picks

Vilma takes physical for Lions | Shaun Rogers on Jets' radar?

Big news for Gang Green today as the Detroit Free Press is reporting that Jets linebacker Jonathan Vilma was in Detroit today for a physical. How does that work exactly with a player rehabbing from surgery? Are they just looking for structural stability? I don't have the answer, though according to Vilma's web site, he has begun jogging and hopes to be running at full speed in about...

Jets Fans Brace Themselves for Draft Weekend, Scarred by Past Horrors

Kyle Brady...Johnny Mitchell...Blair Thomas...Roger Vick...Ken O'Brien...Dewayne Robertson. The list is long and undistinguished. Rattle off the names to the casual NFL fan, and they likely will not register as anything more than a random listing of mediocre NFL players. But, to a Jets fan, one need only mention one of these men and a sharp pain begins to reverberate from...

Jets Draft Overview - Number 6 Selection

There is still about a month until the NFL Draft and free agency has basically dried out, leaving the news slow on the NFL and Jets front. Outside of the ongoing contract negotiations with Laveranues Coles and a rumor here or there about a Dewayne Robertson trade, not much is going on. Let’s ta...
