No player gets more grief than Bobby Carpenter. A first-round pick in 2006, Carpenter has not developed into the player the Cowboys hoped he would, but he has done some good things this year in the nickel and dime packages. He's not the physical, brute, stout linebacker but he can run and is good in space. When he defended Atlanta's Tony Gonzalez two weeks ago the tight end didn't catch a pass. Last week Carpenter had a big sack in the second quarter vs. Seattle and finished with a career-high six tackles according to the coaches' breakdown.
