I dont really follow G.Cobb so I dont know how great his sources are. But who would the Eagles offer them? The Lions just signed a bunch of corners so would they really want Lito? But hey if it happens I will be jumping for joy.

I've thought that Roy would be a great fit for this team after watching him the past few seasons. We can only pray they pull it off. If we can land him and keep everyone healthy and on the field I'm pretty sure we'll be at least looking at deep playoffs again.

April 9 Austin American Statesman featured an interview with Williams where he detailed what the Lions told him their options were when his contract runs out next year. If he is to be believed, then Detroit has no intention of letting him go this year. The GCobb report doesn't even hint at what the Eagles would offer to wow Detroit out of this stance. Could this simply be more speculation from GCobb?

How could they hint at what they'd offer. They have no clue. all he knows is what Mike Quick told him. What do you want? Birds never let anyone know specifics. All that does is let the other teams know whats on the table so they can outbid it. Truthfully, I'm even annoyed Quick mentioned anything. Get us Roy!

It's a talk show host interviewing a commentator. Neither one being a member of the Eagles FO I can't see why they wouldn't offer an opinion on what the move would be.This is why I hate GCobb. Roy has one year left on his contract, so why would they get something for him? Just for the record I don't think the eagles would trade for him unless they signed him to a long term deal first. Gcobb was right on with Asante and the shot at Moss. While he does babble about nonsense from time to time he has been very accurate with free agency and trade talk on the eagles.

GCobb was NOT the first reporter to speculate about Randy Moss talks nor was his website the first place to feature the eventual statements from the FO. So Moss would not be an example of GCobb being an effective investigative reporter.

Even if this story is true what would we want to give up for him. It would be nice to get an immediate impact on offense but I don't want us to drop our pants for this guy either. Maybe send them an early round pick next year and one of our late round picks this year.

GCOBB and PFT.com they all get their info from local newspapers or other sites and post it. they are blogs and GCOBB talked to Mike Quick and posted the conversation he had why wouldnt he put it on his site. It's draft time so all of those teams that have been talking that B.S. about not trading players leading up to this week are fielding all phone calls from all teams looking for the most appealing offer. They have options they can trade Williams for picks or a player or they can keep him. It makes perfect sense for them to do both. If the Lions knew what would be good for them they would trade Williams now while his stock is high. They will not be able to pay him and Calvin after this season. Plus they need help all over their football team. And BoogerKing everything you here is speculation unless its comming from FO. Not players. Roy can say whatever he wants but Matt Millan, Rod Mirinelli, and the Ford family will do what they want to do.

Did it happen. No. Did he make the report that an offer occurred, yes. Thats what we're talking here. Are the Eagles going hard after Roy? If you go by his previous predictions, ie. Moss, Samuel, Fitz. I'm willing to believe he knows something. Does that mean we're going to land Roy? Absolutely not! However, I do believe that he has a legit lead on the matter. I agree with you that he's not Nostradamus, but he's had some nice leads ahead of the rest that turn out to be the truth.

i enjoy reading GCobb he's been on piont the last couple of years with reporting the inside FACTS about the eagles I can careless for ANY writers opinions I think he he has some good inside sources I remember the Trooter release I got it first from his site and leading up to it he knew it was going to happen. you haters give him propts and you just dont know it

man im really upset with Mike Quick for a couple of reasons. This does nothing more than create false hope for Eagles fans as myself when hes not in the front office and why make it sound like its only a matter of time. The Lions Coach and owner angrily denied that he would be traded ONCE AGAIN today due to all this hoopla. So if there was that small chance of something in the works which i highly doubt anyway, it looks as if its not so any longer...ugh i cant wait til after the draft, although Im sure the WR talk will never end bc theres no way there taking Limas Sweed in the 1st.

GCobb was wrong? What a surprise. Mike Quick was incorrect? It can't be true. Quick had absolutely no information when said that the Eagles would trade for Williams. He must be GCobb's cousin or something.

i think that we can get roy by trading lito sheppard and a first or second round pick in this years draft. I would be willing to give up our 1st round draft pick this year

If you read the real article Matt Millen never says he will not trade Williams. Mirinelli says they won't trade him but he doesnt make the decisions. Millen had two chances to flat out say "no" and when asked if Williams would not be traded he says " that thing is brutal" WTF does that mean?

First off! What does boogerking for? Why did you ever pick that name? Secondly, the writing is on the wall... Roy is in the last year of his contract. They are not re-signing him. Why wouldn't they get something out of it? Oh wait I guess the reports of the cowboys are fake too. There are to many reports with different teams that it could be fake. The latest news now is that the eagles are also looking to trade up to the 11th spot which is currently held by the bills. I would really like us to get Roy Williams and also with the 11th spot get Devin Thomas. I think he is going to be a great receiver

1.He STARTS a rumor (ie ..Eagles go hard for L. Fitz)
2.gets all his cronies to come here,,to tell you how G.Cobb rumors almost ALWAY come true,and he BORKE the story.
3. Has some JackAzz,from an online video-game blog (ie Blast Magazine) come on and tell you,he has multilple sources confirming G Cobb's "BREAKING NEWS".
4. We wait 2 weeks .... nothing happens .... then G comes on and says "I TOLD YOU THAT STORY WAS JUST RUMOR"

the guy uses SUCKERS on here to generate web-traffic to Blast Magazine and GCobb.com.
