NFL Mocks:
Brodie Croyle will be the starting quarterback for the Chiefs, and there's no doubt about it.
The Kansas City Star reported on Thursday that the Chiefs are having a quarterback battle, but it isn't for the the starting spot. No instead it is for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart. That's because Brodie Croyle has already been rewarded the starting job by head coach Herm Edwards....

Croyle may not be that good, but he's the best they got.

i dont understand why no one thinks he is good. i know he didnt win any of his starts but they were his first six starts in the nfl. he had no offensive line and no LJ. his first game was against the colts. he threw 1 touchdown and no ints and almost won the game. and again he had no line and no LJ.

Dynasty Rankings Have Witten No. 2
Gee, I was so close. Dynasty Rankings this week rated Jason Witten as the No. 2 tight end in the NFL. Antonio Gates was rated above him by less than two points. The Chiefs fans are stunned that their pretty boy Tony Gonzalez isn't even in the top 5.
Something All Chiefs Fans Agree On
The debates get pretty intense sometimes around here. That is why I figured I'd break up everybody's Case of the Mondays with a little somethin' somethin'. Hat tip to NFL Juice, who gave our Chiefs cheerleaders a great score this year.
Breakout Player?
Over on the forums, we were asked who might be a breakout player for the Chiefs in '08. Here was my response:
There are several possibilities.
First off, I think ex-Ravens WR Devard Darling could be that guy. He showed several flashes of brilliance last year in Baltimore of all places last ...
Wild, Wobbly West
The San Diego Chargers were one game away from the Super Bowl and gave credence to an otherwise abysmal division. Truth be told, the Chargers beat up on the hobbled and/or inexperienced out west, and many a Bolt fan may be wondering how things will shape up in the AFC West come September.
