In a Sirius NFL Radio interview this past Monday, FA OLB Rosevelt Colvin said that he has been contacted by both the Browns and Jets.  Colvin has ties to both teams in that he played under both Romeo Crennel and Eric Mangini while both coached in New England. Colvin would add some veteran experience at OLB, where the Browns only other real options are Antwan Peek, WIllie McGinest, and Kamerion Wimbley. Wimbley will undoubtedly be one of the starters this season, but things get dicey on the other side where McGinest is playing his last year and Peek is coming off an injury last season.

  • Colvin Mcginest reunion
  • I think that would be a great move for the Browns. They need all the talent at LB they can muster. With the addition of Redding and Rodgers at DT. This team will be a strong contender and perhaps the darkhorse to make the Superbowl.

Some quick hits in the NFL this morning:Yesterday the Pats released Rosevelt Colvin. This was a bit of a shock to me. They ended up saving around $5.8 million on the cap in doing so- he had the 2nd highest 2008 cap hit behind Tom Brady- but I had figured they would try and restructure. Now he still m...

A Few Pre Draft Day Thoughts

I thought I'd have a little fun today. Here are a couple of trades that I believe would really benefit the Cowboys going forward. Trade Greg Ellis Send our second round pick (51) and Greg Ellis to Cleveland for their second round pick (37) The Cleveland Browns desperately need a 3-4 rush outside linebacker as Willie McGinest is 37 and Kamerion Wimbley so far could be called a...
