Cowboys DE Chris Canty Will Sign His Tender - GridironFans.com
The Cowboys tendered DE Chris Canty at the first-round level back in February, which had a one-year, $2.017 million offer attached to it. With the first-round pick set as compensation, there's no realistic scenario for the defensive end to solicit real offers from other teams, so he's planning on signing it after the April 18 deadline to negotiate an offer sheet with another club comes and goes. "I have full intentions of signing the tender," Canty said, and there's no stronger evidence of that than his participation in the offseason program that kicked off last Monday.
