  • Mike Mickens is another solid 7th round pick. This guy was a potential 1st round pick before he had knee surgery prior to the Senior Bowl that dropped his draft stock. A steal like Scandrick.
  • Agree BB. I was hoping they would look at him in the 6th. Like this pick a lot. They took a similar chance with Canty a few years back when he dropped cause of an injury. I think someone woke up JJ in round 7. Cause some of those 5-6 round picks had me scratching my head. Namely drafting a kickoff specialist?!?
  • Yeah, I checked the kicker's bio and he can play a few different positions. Not your run-of-the-mill kicker. Not sure what they are going to use him for, but he's played safety and special teams in the past. Was a strange pick, but I guess they have a potential spot for him.

Instant Rant: Grading the Draft Graders

I give the media/others F- for stupidity. How can anyone grade a draft class in reality? These guys are the same guys making guesses with totally inaccurate mock drafts… I hold zero stock in these grades, I really do; however, they are somewhat laughable and entertaining. We all know at the end of the day, it takes 3 yrs to grade a draft.

4th Round (#120) Selection Made: DE Brandon Williams

The Cowboys have selected DE Brandon Williams, Texas Tech. Williams will also be projected as an OLB. I get the feeling Ellis is out of here. Two back-to-back tweene’s mean Ellis is likely a June cut.
