Dallas Cowboys And The NFL:
ARLINGTON - After reaching the Seahawks 36 on an 18-yard pass to Jason Witten, the Cowboys fell apart.
Seattle sacked Tony Romo on first down for a 4-yard loss, forced him to scramble for 10 yards on second down, nearly intercepted a pass on third down and then watched with huge smiles as Nick Folk's 48-yard field goal try sailed wide right.
Cowboys still lead 14-10 with 5:14 left in the first half.

Tony Romo on a hot streak
For the first time in his career, Tony Romo has gone three straight games without an interception, a stretch of 120 passes over the last four games.
Denver's Champ Bailey had the last interception against Romo on Oct. 4.
"It's kind of like the old aged saying I've used and others have too: either you can do it or you can't," Romo said. "Either you...
Romo Passes The Cowboys to a 38-17 Win Over Seattle
This NFL season, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has gotten his share of grief, as he has had games that were not vintage Romo. A combination of poor stats along with some questionable playcalling contributed to some degree to Dallas’ losses this year.
In Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, the Tony Romo who was behind [...]
Why is Tony Romo playing?
I said this a post ago, but why is Tony Romo in this game?
He was just sacked by David Hawthorne, the TCU-ex, and fum, bled at the Cowboys 7. Not only why is he in the game, why is he throwing the ball? The Cowboys are up 28 points. Romo had time to throw before Hawthorne broke free but why put him at risk here?
This makes no sense. They've already pulled Flozell Adams. They...
Handling Seattle's pressure, preparing for Philly
We all know Philadelphia likes to bring all kinds of pressure. They will blitz corners off the edge. They will bring the weakside linebacker and strong safety. They will play zero coverage at times.
After Sunday's game against Seattle, Tony Romo talked about the different looks the Seahawks gave the Cowboys.
"They came in the idea to pressure us, pressure us and do it again," Romo...

Tony Romo, minus the flash, has pushed Cowboys atop of NFC East
IRVING, Texas (AP) — Tony Romo (FSY) has gone from swashbuckling to steady. Dare we say "workman-type"?Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips came up with that answering a question about his quarterback after Sunday's 38-17 victory against Seattle. Romo had just finished his career-best third straight game without an interception, which happens to coincide with a three-game winning...
Folk's streak ends
Just when Dallas Cowboys' coach Wade Phillips said Nick Folk was back to last year's form after dealing with hip problems, he missed a 48-yard field-goal attempt in the second quarter. Folk had made his previous five field-goal tries.
Free reign meets Daughtry
It was a rather unique setting inside the Cowboys locker room today.
So much of the time the talk is about picking up the blitz or wide receivers getting open or the quarterback making a big plays.
Today the talk was about guitar solos and drum beats and serious vocals. Free Reign, the band composed of Marc Colombo, Leonard Davis and Cory Procter, was able to talk music with Daughtry...
Brian Russell Shouldn’t Have a Job in the NFL of the Week
For those of you who might be wondering, “Could the Seahawks have made Tony Romo look any better yesterday?” the answer is YES: they could still be starting Brian Russell at free safety. He’s too slow and too weak for the NFL, and I dare an NFL team to sign him and still finish the [...]
Dallas Cowboys Sam Hurd on contributions from multiple receivers in win over Seattle
With Roy Williams out of the game for consecutive plays, Sam Hurd sprung from a screen set up by a tight end to catch a ball across the middle and it turn it into a 36-yard touchdown for the Cowboys' first points of the game.
Three different receivers caught touchdown passes from Tony Romo Sunday. And a fourth, Patrick Crayton, had an 82-yard punt return for a touchdown. That...
