It's been a tough two weeks for Cowboys WR Patrick Crayton. First, he lost his starting job to Miles Austin. Then the Cowboys signed Allen Rossum to replace the mistake-prone Crayton at punt returner and also handle kickoffs. Although Crayton vowed to handle the demotions as a professional and "help wherever possible," he made it clear he didn't appreciate not being told by any of the coaches of Austin's promotion. Crayton said he found out he had been demoted when he reported to practice and saw Austin taking first-team reps. Crayton was asked today in the locker room why nobody told him. "Ask Coach Wade (Phillips) that, buddy," the team's Web site quoted Crayton as saying. "Ask Wade that, ask Garrett that. Yeah, that would've been real stand up. But that's not what happened."
