wow sound advice... Lions will have a wide selection (most likely) in the upcoming draft, just based on the talent in College Football. I don't own a franchise, but in this situation it would be better to be patient and wait a year

Ghosts of Wayne Fontes:
Man, just as we started getting a little optimistic for the future, the news breaks today that the Lions are entering contract negotiations with freaking Daunte Culpepper. Granted, the man is a staunch negotiator and undeniably handsome, but he has the mobility of a Buckingham Palace guard.
It was first reported about 45 minutes ago by the Free Press that Culpepper canceled his trip to Kansas City in favor of a workout in Detroit. ESPN is now reporting that Culpepper and the Lions are entering early-stage negotiations. This makes absolutely no sense from a rebuilding phase (or just "building phase" I suppose, since the Lions ain't never been built in the first place). Culpepper will likely cost the team in the neighborhood of $8 to $10 million for two years and considering he can't move, this isn't exactly a bargain.
Stay focused Detroit; let's eat the season and just move on. Turn the ball over to Stanton for the rest of the season and give him a chance. Come next year, let's focus on getting a franchise QB...

Y'all are killing me. Clearly you have no idea about this struggling organization. This could quite possibly be the best (quarterbacking) decision that the lions have made since drafting heisman qb (bust) Andre Ware. Look at the history of detroit's qb assignee attempts... Drew Stanton, I personally like him because he's a M-state qb, but bottom liine is the guy was a loser. Winning is a habbit for the best and he clearly was not the best, not even the best available. I would've went for another bust heisman (troy smith) before going for stanton. Orlovsky... need I say more? who, what, where and why are all good questions about that guy. I've been and will always remain a devout lions fan. they had their best season of the decade and get rid of the O-coordinator??? ur killin me!!! Get rid of kevin jones??? ur killing me!!! give up Roy Williams??? WTF!!!???!?!??!?!?!? Signing Culpepper gives someone like me hope, just a little thread to hold on to, like maybe, just maybe, they' don't actually want to go Defeated for the sake of a draft pick. I've been holding a lotta this back for a while so forgive the venting session... why are they scared of big play RB's??? Kevin Smith??? How many studs came outta the last two drafts??? alright, i'm done...

Roy Williams mocks Tatum Bell
You'd think the Lions would learn that their Halloween pranks don't go over so well. After all, it was Jon Kitna who dressed as Lion coach Joe Cullen just last year.
But then again, these are the Lions we're talking about...A team that not only plays clowns on Sunday, but apparently everyday of the week
And even though Roy Williams isn't a Lion anymore, that...
