Slam Dunk Central:
There are certain moments in professional sports, when we remember why we devote the amount of time we do, to watch grown men play a children's game. In the NFL it is that "Hail Mary" desperation pass that lands in your team's best receiver's hands that he runs into the end-zone for a last second winning touchdown! In Baseball it's that walk-off dinger over the fence with the bags juiced to get that come from behind victory. Monday night at the Izod Center a similar situation took place; New Jersey Nets point guard Devin Harris threw up a prayer from half-court as the buzzer sounded that went through the cylinder. After the officials looked at the tape the New Jersey Nets celebrated a 98-96 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. Harris would lead all players with a game high 39 points in the dramatic victory!

Devin Harris, Buzzer Beater, Craziest of All Time, Video. (2-33-09) I have never seen anything like this. The Nets are down by 1 with 1.8 seconds left. The in bounce goes to Devin Harris. Devin feels contact and flails his arms about as if he got fouled. The refs don?t blow the whistle, and it ...

You pretty much have to guard Devin Harris from end line to end line, cause that dude can nail it from anywhere on the court.? What makes this particular shot - which beat the Philadelphia 76ers - even sicker was that Harris lost the ball while clearly being fouled, then had no chance to ...

The Nets point guard hit a 50-foot buzzer beater to push past the Sixers last night, 98-96. This is why I don’t be on basketball; not because of the sudden swings in victory, but because I have no idea who Devin Harris is. I only bet on Pai Gow and Old Maid. Sadly, there aren’t [...]

Devin Harris' Bobbled Half Court Game Winner
The Nets Devin Harris hit a crazy half court shot to take the win for the Nets of the 76ers last night. First he went to take the shot, got fouled and bobbled the ball, and then took the shot and made it. Good night.

Check out this game winner from last night's Nets-Sixers game. Devin Harris somehow catches a pass, bounces off another player, fumbles with the ball, then heaves it up and in from around half court, all in 1.8 seconds. Amazing...

Yes, everyone will be posting this today, and rightfully so. Although I was still more impressed with Ovechkin’s goal from last week. Also, if you ask me, Muhammad Ali, in his prime, was much better than anti-lock brakes.

If you ask me, the replay seems conclusive that the ball left Devin Harris' hand in time. Whether the clock started late is another story. Regardless, the Sixers are furious and will explore their options. The Sixers plan to speak to the NBA about the final 1.8 seconds in

I guess it's hard not to get excited when you see a shot from midcourt with 1.8 seconds left. I give you Devin Harris.... My favorite part of that whole clip? Violet Palmer vehemently waving off the shot, while the other refs immediately get ready to head to review the play. What a shot! Oh and according to Brook Lopez, Devin...."You Rock!"....
