The Eagles and Bengals announced their inactive players prior to today's game:Eagles: G Shawn Andrews, RB Lorenzo Booker, FB Kyle Eckel, QB A.J. Feeley, LB Joe Mays, G Mike McGlynn, TE Matt Schobel, DE Bryan SmithBengals: WR Andre Caldwell, OL Anthony Collins, DE Eric Henderson, TE Nate Lawrie, DE Antwan Odom, QB Carson Palmer, DT Jason Shirley, WR Jerome SimpsonThe inactives for the Eagles are the exact same as last week. Booker is an absolute disappointment and a waste of the draft pick they traded to get him. Eckel was also a useless signing since he can't beat out a converted defensive tackle for the fullback spot. The chances of Shawn Andrews returning this year are getting slimmer by the week. The biggest name out for the Bengals is obviously Carson Palmer who has been out for half the season. The Eagles defense will get to feast on Ryan Fitzpatrick, their inexperienced backup. Cedric Benson will start at running back for the Bengals, further solidifying the fact t...

This Just In: Andy Reid Sucks

Well, after last week's debacle of an ending, how could a game against a 1-8 Bengals team, featuring Ryan Fitzpatrick, be any worse? Well the increasingly clueless Andy Reid managed to outdo himself today by calling one of the most ridiculous games I've ever witnessed. In an almost amateurish game plan filled with reverses, WR pass attempts, and flea flickers, and extremely...

I think I know why the Eagles Suck

After yesterday's disgrace I sat down and thought about the culmination of this season so far. And at first, I couldnt point out one, single major flaw or reason for our mediocrity other than a few stupid, simple, little things that have added up to 4 losses and a tie. But after going over everything I realized what it is. It's a lack of FIRE, PASSION and LEADERSHIP. You...

Dawkins or Lynch to the HOF?

Unable to catch on with a team this season, S John Lynch is set to announce his retirement. As an Eagles fan I could care less, but the news did get me to thinking...as a safety getting into the HOF is rare, does Lynch have a better shot then Dawkins? It's not as close as one would think. The numbers and the accolades are close, but (even with my obvious bias) it appears...

Beer Can Jousting Fun For Fans Of Chivalry, Beer

This is kind of a tailgating post, but it's also a post about a new sport that I think has quite the future. Ground zero for the spread of beer can jousting a?" do I even have to tell you? a?" is Philadelphia, more specifically the parking lot outside Lincoln Financial Field.(Close but not [...]

The Eagles are far from a playoff team

What a pitiful performance by the Eagles on Sunday. They were fortunate to come away with a 13-13 tie in Cincinnati. If the Bengals had anything remotely closely resembling a football team, they would have beaten Philadelphia by two touchdowns.Donovan McNabb doesn't get enough credit for how ...

Eagles and Bengals Game Ends in a Rare 13-13 Tie

Shayne Graham missed a 47-yard field goal late in OT that could have won the game for the Bengals, and the game ended in a tie. The Bengals were not without their chances to win it, but couldn't seem to capitalize on the the excellent field position they were handed in overtime. This [...]

Donovan McNabb Didn't Know There Were Ties, Cost His Team?

One of the more embarrassing games in the NFL this year occurred on Sunday in Cincinnati where the Bengals and Eagles played to a 13-13 tie. Neither team was able to score in the overtime period, resulting in the game being called as a tie a?" the first in the NFL since 2002. [...]

Give McNabb a break

Ok, i know i had some criticisms of McNabb yesterday,(especially of him not knowing that NFL games could end in a tie) but i am willing to put them all behind me and i think all the other eagles fan should to. McNabb got us to multiple NFC Championships and a Super Bowl with basically no weapons. I personally just think the guy had a bad week and was maybe going through something...

McNabb AND Boeheim? Neither Knew NFL Tie Rule

By now you know that Donovan McNabb didn't know before yesterday's Philly-Bengals 13-13 result that there were ties in the NFL.So Dan Patrick for some reason brought on Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim today on his radio show to defend Syracuse alum McNabb's embarrassing admission. McNabb ...

Not Stupid, But A Brilliant Move

If only his coach was this smart. Maybe then the Eagles wouldn't be NFC East basement dwellers. The media and fans are all over McNabb for his post-game comments about not knowing the rules of OT. I say, brilliant move Donovan. There is just no way that a 10 year veteran doesn't know about a game ...

I don't know where to start?

What is wrong with the Eagles right now? Injuries no, bad play calling yes!, bad decision making yes!. I mean I am sick to my stomach right now with the fact that we can even BEAT the Cinncinati Bengals! Come on! If this isn't proof that Andy Reid and Marty Morniwhatever need to go I don't know what is!!!!! Man Bark it UP!!!!

Is That #91 I See?

Your eyes weren't lying to you (though when you looked at the scoreboard you wish they were) on Sunday. That was a Chris Clemons sighting on the field. I guess after 10 weeks the guy was finally able to learn the D and graduate from special teams. What you were expecting more from one of the ...

im sick of west coast offense

i know why mcnabb have 3 picks its because if you throw 58 times the ball, there is more porcentage of an interception. im sick why we have to throw all time when you have an all pro running back on brian westrbrook, 14 carries cmon andy reid we should do it like giants they run the ball more than throwing, leave some pressure out of mcnabb. plus we have so damn crappy recievers...
