Eagles Considered Trading Andrews????

Various readers tell us that Anthony Gargano of WIP radio in Philly reported on Friday that the Eagles discussed internally the possibility of trading guard Shawn Andrews, who is an unexcused absence from training camp.

Though the team still isn't calling the situation a holdout, we're still struggling to understand why he's not there.

Gargano also reported that Andrews will be fined for his absence. The CBA permits daily fines in excess of $15,000.

The concern apparently is that Andrews has at times been emotional, and the team is apparently getting frustrated.

Andrews was a first-round pick in 2004. He is signed through 2015.

....what the hell is going on?!?!?!? has anybody been listening to wip? have any info of what their saying about this? .......ugh.....

i would start by not listening to wip they make up alot of nonsense second i dont know why they would trade a pro bowl gaurd so young and so locked up in a deal

yeah same....lito makes sense to trade but not andrews..not for a reason like that

Trading Andrews would make sense ony for a blue chip reciever and providing Max Jean-Gilles is a capable replacement...something only the FO and staff would know. Sounds like BS

this is definitely bs but an interesting thing to think about would be who we would trade for...maybe peters from buffalo?

not another lineman that doesnt make sense...andrews is top in the league if we wanted another lineman we might as well just keep andrews

Not going to happen. When will people stop believing all the BS from WIP.

They aren't going to trade Shawn Andrews. He is a young pro bowl guard, they drafted him in the first round and he has a huge contract. Andy likes his line to much to let a young stud like that go. It will be interesting to see the reason why Andrews wasn't at camp tho.

I thought there was zero chance of this happening as well UNTIL I saw the Andy Reid press conference today and saw the genuine disgust he showed towards the whole Andrews situation, with that being said I hope Andy doesnt give into his emotions and let a great O-linemen go....

Yeah I am sure he is disappointed that his best offense lineman is a no show at the first day of camp. you might have expected from lito or westbrook but not andrews.

whoops.....trouble in blissville?

all hail king dunlap!!!!

lol

You would never get full value for Andrews, and I can't believe that the Eagle have even been thinking about trading him, total nonsense.

if the eagles do trade him they need to get boldin from the cards we all know they could use OL men and the eagles could use a top WR

people keep talking about how the eagles can afford to trade andrews. of course it would make sense to trade our best offensive lineman when both our tackles are going to retire or be released after this season. reid wants to move andrews to tackle after runyan and/or thomas leave. you cant just plug in linemen you idiots, we all saw what happened when the eagles tried to plug in any ol linemen with winston justice in the 12 sack game against the giants. im fine with trading for a good wide receiver but not if we have to let go of our best lineman. mcnabb or whoever it is wouldnt have a chance to throw the ball to the WR next year to anyone if andrews, runyan and thomas leave

Andrews is the only player on the offense I wouldn't trade and that includes Westbrook.

That may be taking it a little to far Booger!!!!

Maybe so, but trading Andrews would be a real boneheaded decision.Still, what the hell is going on with him not reporting to camp?
