Eagles Draft Choices

Now that the 2008 NFL Scouting Combine is over; I have watched the potential draftees, listened to the commentary about each one, and looked over some footage of some of the most promising prospects, this is what I would do if I was the one picking for the Eagles in the Draft.

NICE read !! thanks!!

why two receivers in the 1st and 2nd rd? that doesnt make ant sense, no offense. they have plenty of other needs, like u said, to take care of. id go for CB or DE in 1st rd and WR in 2nd, but thats just me.

I'm thinking it will be addressed in FA and a late round WR will probably be the case.

because we need a WR BADLY!!

I chose to take WRs in both the first and second round because:
1. We really need receivers
2. Sweed is a big physical receiver, which is what I think we need for our no. 1. Jackson is more of a quick threat receiver perfect for the no. 2 spot, and what we need in the return game.
3. I don't really think that the defense needs all that much work, at least not so much that it can't be fixed with the current personnel. A CB would be nice but that will probably be addressed in FA. If not though there were a lot of really good looking DBs at the combine and some of them will certainly still be available in the third round.
I did mention other options, including taking a DE in the first round, but until we see what the front office and Andy Reid does with FA we can't be sure what we will still be in need of when the draft starts. This is just what I would do if the draft started today. It will probably change before the actual draft.
