In a move we have expected for the last few days, the Eagles have placed LB Omar Gaither on the injured list, ending his season. Gaither underwent surgery last week after he suffered a Lisfranc surgery, so it was only a matter of time before the Birds stashed him away for the rest of the year. The injury to Gaither was the whole reason the Eagles brought in Will Witherspoon. To replace Gaither on the roster, the Eagles have signed RB P.J. Hill, who as on the practice squad for the Saints. Hill is a rookie out of Wisconsin who put up some big numbers in college (3,942 yards, 42 TD's in 3 seasons) but went undrafted due to concerns about a DUI he received about a month before the 2009 Draft. Hill, who is a big back and could be a solid short-yardage runner, figures to be insurance should Brian Westbrook not be able to go against the Giants on Sunday after he suffered a concussion on Monday Night. In all likelihood, however, Hill will be inactive for a few weeks and then be release...

  • Wow. earlier today i said they should sign Warrick Dunn
  • Warrick I think doesnt want to play.
  • P. J. Hill Jr. (born January 3, 1987 in East Elmhurst, Queens, New York) is an American football running back for the New Orleans Saints. One of just two players (Ron Dayne is the other) in University of Wisconsin history to have rushed for 1,000 yards in each of their first three seasons, although Dayne played for four years while Hill declared for the NFL draft after his third year. One of two players (Dayne the other) to score at least ten rushing touchdowns in their first three years. Hill ranks third on school’s career rushing yardage list with 3,802 yards and is tied for third on UW career rushing TDs list with 42 ... his 44 total touchdowns (42 rushing, two receiving) place him tied for second in school history (only behind Dayne) ... third on school’s list for career rushing attempts with 755 ... averaging 5.03 yards per carry during 36-game career (tenth all-time at UW) ... has rushed for at least 100 yards in a game 19 times (tied for third-most in school history)

He was arrested in Madison, Wisconsin on suspicion of DUI and fleeing police officers on March 16, 2009.[1]

On April 27, 2009 A day after not being drafted in the NFL College Draft, P.J. was signed to a 3 year contract with the New Orleans Saints. He ran for 128 yards on 26 carries with three touchdowns and had two catches for nine yards in the 2009 exhibition season. He was released by the Saints on Sept. 5, 2009 and then signed to their practice squad the next day.
  • I think we should have activated Marcus Mailei. Lets see what P.J. can do.
  • PJ was a BEAST in college. I saw quite a few of his games..1500+ yds and 15 TDS in 06, 1200 in 07 with 14 TDs. I was actually shocked to not see him drafted. But obviously there is a reason for that. I would be surprised to see him get any playing time, unless they are as concerned as they should be with Buckleys blocking and Westbrooks injury.
  • i think we should've looked on the wire and got another O-lineman for depth!!! maybe get runyan for cheap??? bwwest will be ok and we haven't really utilized buckley!!! he's a hard runer and can catch!!! but i guess the evil empire will use this as an excuse to throw the ball 5000 x's a game!!!
