We're giddy. That's the simplest way to describe it. Kid-in-a-candy-store giddy. Stupid sh*t-eating-perma-grin giddy. Walking around fairly ignorant of anything else going on giddy. Here's my morning, for those who care. And apologies for those just stumbling upon this page who aren't aware of my allegiances (which should now be abundantly clear).
I am not a morning person. For those who know me, this could be the understatement of the century. In this context, my dear fiancee has recently been "tricking" me in the morning by tossing out fake headlines from the news in the hope of coaxing me out of bed. So, when she popped her towel-wrapped head in the bedroom this morning and claimed that "the Jets traded for Brett Favre," I summarily dismissed her. Moreover, I cursed her for taking this silly game to another level of cruelty.
However, she then continued to insist such a thing had happened. She even said "get up and look...it's on ...
