Greg Ellis Pro Bowler - Long Overdue!

Glad to see him get in there. Will be even happier if he comes back next year.

I honestly thing that rotating with Spencer would prolong his career. His big money days are gone, but the move to LB on the 3-4 was the best thing to happen to him. Spencer's gong to become a beast, but either of them could move to the inside. Ayodele was pretty good inside but if memory serves me right he's coming up soon to the end of his contract and he didn't strike fear to the opposition. Ayodele had some moments but simply to get Ellis, Spencer and Ware on the field together would be huge. I'm not sure how Carpenter is really panning out but he's still too early in his career to really determine pro or bust.

Carpenter has been good on special teams and some goal-line situations, but not sure he is ready for every down play. Spencer looks like the real deal. If Ellis can have one more productive year, the defense will be good again, but still need a cornerback or proven safety. Not sure Davis is the answer.

Good deal for Greg Ellis. Hope he stays.
