Denver has the No. 1 ranked defense. The Broncos have allowed only one touchdownn in three games. Elvis Dumervil has six sacks. It's all good stuff. But two of the games have come against Cleveland and Oakland. Are they really that good? "I think they're really tht good," tight end Jason Witten said. " I think in the secondary they're as good as we've seen with Champ Bailey and then with [Brian] Dawkins back there. They're comfortable with what they're doing. That 3-4 gives you a lot of different looks. It's at home. They're getting a lot of sacks, a lot of pressure. It's going to be a tough matchup for us." And Tony Romo's response? "They run around," Romo said. "They do a lot of stuff defensively. They're a little like the Ravens in some ways with what they do. I think that's been a big reason why their team is off to the start they are."

Denver Broncos safety Dawkins, coach McDaniels talk about OLB Dumervil and his six sacks

Denver Broncos safety Brian Dawkins (you might remember him from Philadelphia!) and coach Josh McDaniels talked Wednesday about the fast start of outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil. Dumervil (5-11, 248) ranks second in the NFL with six sacks this season. That's one more sack than he had all of last season and twice as many as the entire Cowboys team has this season through the first...

Forcing Orton's hand

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo proved last week that he can drive the bus with the best of them. He was coolly efficient in the 21-7 win over the Panthers, but the same has been said the last three weeks of his counterpart on the Broncos. Kyle Orton's passer rating is 91.2, which ranks 10th in the league and is eight spots ahead of Romo. Orton is also one of only three quarterbacks...

ROMO, another "all time greatest list" - Road Win Percentage

I don't think I've seen it mentioned yet, but if we beat Denver this week, Tony Romo will move past Joe Montana for the best road winning percentage by any starting quarterback during the Super Bowl era (minimum of 15 starts). Romo is 15-5 on the road, a winning percentage of .750. Montana was...

Now that the Bucs have had a practice this week and reporters have had access to players, they can get opinions on the quarterback change. Most of them are exactly what you would expect: supportive and boring. But Antonio Bryant is always good for a quote or two ...

Second Half Domination

As the Cowboys shuffled off the field at halftime I had one thought in my mind. I was thinking that if this team is really a playoff team then they will come out in the second half with a new attitude. Two quarters later I felt a giant sense of relief as the defense completely shut down Carolina during the second half. The offense was a little off all night whether it be penalties...

Recent Dallas-Denver Games Haven't Been Kind to the Cowboys
