It doesn't take long to get someone's opinion on Jason Whitlock - he's one of the more polarizing figures in the Kansas City sports scene. Most people either love him or hate him. He's been called opinionated, contraversial, racist, insightful, and pretty much any other adjective you can think of. I would like to add one more - spineless.
A week or so ago, I wrote a post on whether or not Mike Brown could come in and be the Chiefs' version of safety Rodney Harrison. Since it's July (a dead time in the NFL) and I had pretty much abandoned this blog for the last four months, it wasn't my most read piece. Thankfully though, Mr. Whitlock changed all that.
On July 4th, he posted this article - which looks familiar. Even right down the the title of the piece. Now - I'm a no-name blogger with little to no credibility whatsoever - but even so, I think it's a little low of Whitlock to blantantly steal an idea. I have emailed Jason several times, and he has not gotten back to me. I won't be holding my breath expecting a response.
Thankfully, though, you readers HAVE got back to me - en masse. Thanks to all of you who have emailed, responded on message boards and offered your support. We will consider this a victory for small-market bloggers who are now the farm system for big-market mainstream writers. Maybe next time, I'll send Jason a list of ideas to make his job a little easier.

WR Devard Darling is Giving Bahamian Youth an NFL Experience
When thinking of football hotbeds, most people envision the West Texas Plains, sunny Southern California, or the year-round warmth of Florida. Needless to say, the tropical, laid back setting of the Bahamas doesn't quickly come to mind. However,
Kansas City Chiefs: On the Rise
I realize the picture I selected for this does not have anything to do with this article. But look at that chick! Is that just a normal fashion statement for those people that claim to be Raiders fans, or do they just like dressing up in funny costumes?
Anyway, this is one of the most anticipated Chiefs seasons in Kansas City in a long time. The Chiefs have a certified genius in...
Glenn Dorsey: The Turning Point of the Kansas City Chiefs
Glenn Dorsey has come across after his rookie season as a bust to Chiefs fans.
Why? Because he didn't record 15 sacks and didn't go to the Pro-Bowl? Let me inform you that defensive tackles are one of the slowest positions to develop as a player, especially as a rookie. Not many D-tackles become rookie of the year.
Dorsey will be moving to defensive end due to the Chiefs...
Tradition Tuesday: NFL Hall to Unveil Hunt SB Gallery, Irritate BroncoCountry
This blog, believe it or not, has a rough focus: the rivalry between the Kansas City Chiefs (represent, represent) and the Denver Broncos (Cecil and Old No. 7). Why, you might ask, would you start a blog that "covers" two teams, and not put all your eggs of fandom into one basket? Well, I got an answer for you: Some nine years ago, the three of us -- having, at various...

Rodney Harrison Demands Your Respect
by Nancy GayFiled under: NFL Hall of Fame, NFL Media Watch, NFL Interviews, FanHouse ExclusiveRodney Harrison has a perception problem. He knows how many in the NFL viewed him during his 15-year career: as the dirtiest player in the league. A player fined more than $200,000 for countless illegal hits. An admitted user of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) to speed recovery from his many...
