Sports Hernia:
Even as a Duck fan this article cracked me up...sadly, because it's true
Following the continued disastrous news out of Atlanta, back-up QB and now presumed Falcons starter Joey Harrington has surprisingly stood still among the fantasy ranks as millions of rabid adult males begin preparing their draft day moves 44 days before the season begins.

The Falcons may be doomed to a mediocre season with Harrington. Unless the chemistry with him and his Offensive line is good, this sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

Agreed, plus Joey has nobody to throw to...an aging Joe Horn may not help much. It doesn't sound much better than the situation he was in with Detroit, although the offensive line should be much better in Atlanta...but at least Joey had some stud receivers in Detroit and a decent running back to share the weight. I don't know how much longer Warrick Dunn can go...11 years is a long time to be in the league for a running back.

Joey is afraid to get hit. He will freeze up in the pocket against the rush like a deer in headlights. Do not expect anything good except for a lot of hand offs.
-
Yea he has a hard time improvising...when things don't go exactly as planned, he panics. I'm rooting for him but this might be his last chance...

Being a Falcon fan I hate to read tish like this...I don't even want to think of Joey leading the helm nor taking any snaps. We're gonna suck AGAIN!

Reporter says Vick would've been better off raping a woman
A reporter has since apologized for his statements earlier in the day, but that doesn't mean we can't discuss the merits of them. Reporter Paul Zeise stated that "It's really a sad day in this country when somehow ... Michael Vick would have been better off raping a woman if you look at the outcry of what happened. Had he done that, he probably would have been suspended...
Calvin Johnson signs with Lions
Georgia Tech receiver Calvin Johnson is now going to camp after a week long holdout. Johnson was the 2nd pick of the draft and has been signed to a 6 year deal. The other terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Johnson should start right away and could have 1000 yards as the Lions have a very pass oriented attack. Johnson is a pro bowl caliber player but if you draft him in fantasy...
Chris Redman could be QBing the Falcons if Harrington doesn't work out
Joey Harrington, the once #3 pick from Oregon and franchise QB for the Lions, has caught on with his 3rd team and will try and resurrect his career with the Falcons. If he doesn't, former Baltimore franchise QB Chris Redman might get the call. Behind him is DJ Shockley, the former Georgia star, but he's still far away from being an NFL ready QB. This whole controversy is...

Martz Has Enough In Detroit To Keep Him Busy -- And Off The Market
When the Lions courted Mike Martz to be their offensive coordinator during Super Bowl week of 2006, I don't think many people would have given you a plugged nickel's chance that: a) Martz would come at all, or b) even if he did come, that he'd stay for any appreciable length of time -- like more than a year. Once a head coach ...
But Martz is sounding, to me, like...

Roy Williams: An Optimist, Not A Clown
When he says things like, "We left 40 points on the field," he's derided. When he speaks with unbridled enthusiasm that borders on dementia about the football team for which he plays, people chuckle and roll their eyes. When he insists that the winning will come, and come soon, he's practically disregarded.
But Roy Williams, the Lions' premier wide receiver -- at least...
Calvin Johnson Deal
