In one of Week 4's most intriguing matchups, 6-foot-7 Cowboys left tackle Flozell Adams is charged with slowing down 5-11 Broncos outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, who is second in the league with six sacks.
That's six sacks as in twice as many as Dallas has recorded through three games.
With his low center of gravity and long arms, Dumervil has drawn comparisons to the Steelers' James Harrison. But Adams has yet to give up a sack this season, quite an achievement considering he's faced the Buccaneer's Gaines Adams, the Giants' Osi Umenyiora and the Panthers' Julius Peppers.
Dumervil, though, could be the quickest of the bunch and he's got plenty of momentum after recording all of his sacks in the last two games. His play is a big reason why the Broncos' lead the league in total defense (214.7 yards), scoring defense (5.3 points) and have given up just 16 points in their 3-0 start.

He has a sore shoulder but he took part in a full workout on Wednesday. He also has a history of a balky knee but hasn't appeared slow by it so far.

Flozell Adams shouldn't be limited in practice
Flozell Adams missed a snap Monday when he jammed his shoulder a little on Felix Jones' 40-yard run in the third quarter.
Wade Phillips does not expect that to limit Adams' work in practice this week in preparation for the Broncos. Good thing too, because he will face Elvis Dumervil, who is second in the NFL with six sacks in three games.

Denver Broncos safety Dawkins, coach McDaniels talk about OLB Dumervil and his six sacks
Denver Broncos safety Brian Dawkins (you might remember him from Philadelphia!) and coach Josh McDaniels talked Wednesday about the fast start of outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil.
Dumervil (5-11, 248) ranks second in the NFL with six sacks this season. That's one more sack than he had all of last season and twice as many as the entire Cowboys team has this season through the first...
