Kiwi feels Tuck's pain

Mathias Kiwanuka hasn’t seen the film of Cowboys LT Flozell Adam’s illegal trip on Justin Tuck, but he has a good idea what Tuck is going through today. Kiwanuka, you may remember, was injured on an unnecessarily “dirty” play last year, too. Kiwanuka’s injury, to his lower left leg, came on the final series of the Giants’ 2008 season opening win over Washington when he beat Redskins LT Chris Samuels, only to have Samuels tackle him from behind. Tuck, of course, beat Adams in last night’s 33-31 win in Dallas, only to have Adams stick out his leg to trip him, causing Tuck to fall awkwardly on his shoulder. “This is the NFL (and) people put their careers on the line every day, so you don’t want to risk somebody getting hurt of of something cheap like that,” Kiwanuka said on a conference call with reporters this afternoon. “You understand they have a job to do, to protect their quarterback.
