Lets talk Eagles Draft Needs

Everyone has seen all the mock drafts concerning the Eagles. I want to gauge what positions are needed the most. With the 19th overall pick I think the birds should take a shot at that Phillips kid. We need someone to eventually replace Dawk. Next I target a WR. The draft is actually pretty deep at this position. I know alot of you really like the kid from Cal, but do we really need another 5'9" WR? I don't really care how fast he is. The GLew and Avant experiments failed. Enough!!

There are many that think the birds with trade some picks along with Lito for a true #1 WR. like Quan or Ocho. If that is a real possibility, then lets hope it happens.

I actually hope they take a OL with one of the picks. We need to restock the depth there. Please no more Justice. We swung and missed with him. He may be ok someday, but I think we know where his ceiling is.

$Money Round$ 3rd Round: This is where Big Red has made a living in the draft. Here is where we could steal a RB. I know alot of you homers will probably kill me for this. But Tony Hunt is not the answer. He will be okay at best. Not a game breaker. Maybe pick up a WR in the 4th. Whoever GB maybe eyeing, take him. They seem to have a skill for picking talent at the WR position.

I'd also like to see them go out and add some depth at LB in the middle rounds (5-6), purely backup guys that can be special teams warriors.

Positions I don't expect to see on draft day:

TE: Lets face it, LJ will be back. He's not the player he thinks he is and won't get paid like it. Celek is up and coming. We have plently of filler behind tose two.

QB: Well what can I say? We have 5 and Kolb is his back up (PERIOD)

DE: We addressed this for the most part in FA. The rest will be filled in with rotation. Actually I know a guy who is getting a look at this position. He's a hell of an athlete, I'd be really shocked if they didn't sign him.

CB: pretty stocked there. Maybe they sign a guy who can do both PR/KR as well as CB. I'd like to see that. Never made sense to me that a team signs a guy who plays offense and PR/KR. Makes more sense for it to be a defensive guy. Does his thing in KR/PR, then comes to the side line to get a blow, not go to the huddle and is already spent for the next play.

So that leaves FS, SS, MLB, OLB, DT, OT, OG, C, WR, and RB as areas I think the Eagles should address on draft day.

Do you agree? I'll probably get slammed for some of my views, but lets hear it...
