Alas, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback of the future Matt Cassel has chosen his number. And that number is... 7 Great Prince song, good Brad Pitt movie, a digit hated by PETA and a number that haunted Chiefs fans during the Martyball years. Hopefully, Cassel will reverse the curse and 7 will be ...

Listen, I hope Cassel does well.........my concern is that the Patriots (Belichik) used his infamous system. Whereby you play to the strengths of the individual. They design an offense to take advantage of the strengths of Matt Cassel. Now put him on the field, without those same concepts, and without the players the Pats had, and without doing what kept Cassel successful last year and you might just get a different result.

Hey look, the Chiefs can put the same quality personel on the field as the Patriots......right? Seriously?

I just hope there isn't a number seven, sewn over a bullseye on the back of Cassel's new game jersey.

dave i see your point, but i have no doubt that chan gailey and todd hailey can design a system where matt casell can thrive in aswell..

I truly hope so..........being a long time Chiefs fan, I mean a long time.......Lenny Dawson, Willie Lanier, Ed Podalak, etc. etc. I fought long and hard against everyone in my family before Superbowl IV. Purple people eater's.......my a$$.
I would caution that the recent stories and results of the Arrowhead Crowd has been less than stimulating. Sure you now have Scott Paoli building things for you, and again hopefully, Mr's Gailey and Hailey have better results than they have had in recent past. At this point a .500 season is a huge win for KC and the Chiefs.
