Darren McFadden's Draft Value May Be Dropping Due to Character Issues

Arkansas running back Darren McFadden is looking like the Adrian Peterson of 2008 in more ways than one. Peterson, most agreed, was the best running back available in last year’s draft, and all things being equal, was one of the top two or three players on the board. Unfortunately for Adrian&...

Taylor Runs Over Raiders

Chester Taylor led the Vikes over the Oakland Raiders 29-22. Taylor rushed 22 times for 164 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught three balls for 38 yards. As good as Taylor did, I kept thinking, what would have Adrian Peterson done to these guys?It was a very odd first half. The Vikes first play...

"The Gospel" Week 10 Running Backs

How do you write anything about Running Backs without mentioning Adrian Peterson's record breaking performance in the same game against the supposed best at his position, LaDainian Tomlinson. If you don't mind me saying, it was a reality check for Tomlinson and an unintentional slap in the face by Peterson, proving why he's in the same class as elite runners. This week should be...

NFL Top Performers - Week 12

"The Other" Adrian Peterson may be the top waiver wire pickup in FFLs this week as Cedric Benson was shelved with a season ending leg injury. Peterson was one of many unexpected RBs in week 12 to produce some nice numbers. Virtually unknown preseason names like Kolby Smith, Andre Hall, and Ryan Gra...

Adrian Peterson at the ESPYs

A few things about this clip of Adrian Peterson accepting Best Breakthrough Athlete at the ESPYs. One: That Sophia Bush chick needs a throat lozenge. Two: Zac Efron is an android. Three: Nice shot of Marcus Allen not giving a damn. Four: I love Adrian and all, but I would've rather seen Ana Ivanovic. That's just me. Five: Kyle Busch? It's Best Breakthrough Athlete, not...

Fantasy Playoff Heroes

If you have Adrian Peterson on your team, you are probably fighting for a victory in the consolation bracket this week. If you somehow advanced, then you probably owe your spot to some help from guys like Drew Brees, Brandon Marshall, and LenDale White. When I wrote my initial playoff column I was focused on guys you should trade for to make a run at the playoffs. Now that week 15...

Favre and Rodgers: The Conversation

After hours of discussions with Brett Favre, Green Bay Head Coach Mike McCarthy addressed the media earlier today and spoke of a stalemate with the legendary quarterback. Favre never stepped onto the field in a Packers jersey during the past two days and at this juncture it doesn't appear as though he ever will again. Chris Mortensen and Ed Werder may have Favre texting them...

The Truth about Week 16

If you lost because of Brian Westbrook, it was probably not because of Brian Westbrook. I played a Westbrook owner this past week, and almost won, thanks to poor performances from some of his other players like Terrell Owens and Reggie Wayne. If it hadn't been for Adrian Peterson saving his day, I would have won, most likely by less than the missed-Westbrook touchdown. The truth...

Breakin It Down: Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings

Breakin it down is 5 key stories plus a pick for each postseason game this season. Is it the Iggles or the Eagles?Which team in the NFL has been more inconsistent than the Eagles? Their offense...
