McNabb Deserves More Respect Than He Is Getting

McNabb bashing needs to stop...its time to try to make a playoff run

Hey to make a long stoory short. If you are a real fan you should understand that the man is doing everything that he can to get this team where it needs to be. No more bashing. No calling for his head or his job. From all of the fans that did it when he was drafted to all of the fans that are doing it now (if you want to fan yourselves fans), relax. He got it. I can tell you that if you have actually watch his career beyond the green jersey, you will find that he leaves everything on the field. I am not going to sit here and tell you that I have been behind him 100% because I have not. I did not boo the draft selection but a real fan supports it. A real fan. I am a fan of Donovan, the Eagles, and the Coaches. Support Him. Support Them. We may not like the plays called or player movement. But one thing is for sure, he was never a bad choice. Look at the stats for those who need additional nurturing. What we just witness with the Patriot game is that if everyone else does their part, the Eagles have a btter chance of winning. Especially with him. Go D-Mc. Because it goes through you. You are the first person to always touch the ball after the center snaps it.

I won't reiterate the entire dissertation that I posted last month on the Eagles Blog entitled "Eagles Fans Need a History Lesson" - but suffice it to say that Eagles Fans need to be careful what they wish for. We are lucky to have DMAC as our starting QB and if DMAC is traded at the end of the season, I will continue to follow him wherever he ends up. Yes AJ has helped the Eagles to win games, but only DMAC has gotten us to the big game. I wish AJ the best, but DMAC has a lot of great football left in him. I still see DMAC as the Eagles best chance to get back to a superbowl in the next few years. No one has given more of himself to the Eagles than DMAC and he deserves the support of all Eagles fans.

I believe in DMAC and what he can do for the Eagles.

d5 plays in philly, so i know to expect him always on the hotseat whether its fair or not, he is great, and when he was mobile, so much fun to watch, its a shame next year when hes on the bears (or another nfl team) their fans will instantly cannonize him and keep him there, while phila fans will always split on whether hesa bum or not....part and parcel of phila sports, but that doesnt make it right

I think the Eagles should start Feeley. He played well against the Pats and it gives #5 another week to rest up. No, Feeley is not the starting quarterback, nor should he. But if he buys you some time and keeps you competitive, then there's no problem riding the hot hand. People who think Feeley should have the job for the rest of the season or that they should throw Kolb to the wolves over playing 5, well...that's their opinion. I still stand by our quarterback. Get well soon, Donovan!

Donovan Mcnabb is the reason i love football, he is a beast on the feild and a respectful and great man off the field, why ppl seem to love bashing him, i dont know, but he is great, he has done great things, and will do even greater. an injury is fleeting, itll pass, and once it does, people are going to flip back to support, people like that, they dont matter, Donovan, all you need to know is that you have fans here that will stick by you to whatever end... YOU PLAY YOUR GAME, NOT THEIRS!!!

well said everybody..mcnabb IS our quarterback he is the best thing to come to philly and he is a warrior!with that i hope he takes the time to get better as when you play this game hurt you open yourself up to getting more hurt!i do not want to see the best go down because of that..he is a young man with alot of football ahead of him..get better #5!!

I truthfully feel that McNabb will stay and retire as a Eagle too. I can't see him playing anywhere else but with the Eagles. Dave was right on target when he said in this article that the McHaters has short-term memories. Just a few weeks ago he just started to get back to 100% in the Washington game. He is better than the press and the McHaters are leading the NFL community to believe. Thank God Coach Reid doesn't listen to all that crap and knows what we know. E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles!!!
