NFL Fantasy Top 10 for 2007

I don't care if fantasy football doesn't start for another 8+ months. Nothing gets me more pumped for the 'upcoming' season like a mock draft. Things are going to look very different next year. Ushered out of fantasy football's first round after unspectacular years in 2006 were a handful aging backs like Edgerrin, Dillon, and Deuce. It's time for some of the young guns to take their place. Fantasy football is more of a crapshoot than other fantasy games, but next year's draft will be even more interesting that usual. By my count, only two backs, LT and LJ claim a spot in the top ten for a second consecutive year. That's a lot of turnover and potential for some busted drafts for those who don't have a top two selection.

Shaun Alexander probably deserves a top ten nod here, but other than that, it's a quality list.

How does Shaun Alexander not get in the top 10. He's essentially been grouped with unproven guys like Brandon Jacobs.

Also, does anybody here think Ricky Williams will be of no value at all, should he return?

Ricky's value will depend on whether he stays in Miami. He's certainly not a top ten back sharing time with Ronnie Brown, but on his own in Denver could be a different story.

Too many 'assumings' and 'ifs' in this article. As is, I'd rather have Rudi Johnson than Addai, Maroney or Bush on my team next year. Got to go for safety in the early rounds.

You can't win a draft in the early rounds, so make sure you don't lose it.

All good points. Rudi probably deserves to still be in the top 10.

Look at the numbers, Rudi Johnson's as consistent a running back as there has been in the league over the last three years.
