Quarterback By Committee: Why The Hell Not?

Throughout the years of all sports, evolutions occur. In basketball, guards and forwards morphed into point guards, shooting guards, power forwards, and small forwards. Baseball developed closers, setup men, and long relievers from the solitary position of pitcher. Hell, even football has developed the third down back and the slot receiver out of it's original positions.

However, one being seems impervious to the call of evolution. The quarterback.

Tebow and McNabb? Throwing out the age issue like he does, why would you want 2 of the same style QBs when one is clearly better and more proven.

Also, how is having Vick and a pocket passer splitting time going to hurt the defense? They just call their plays based on who is on the field.

To answer why the hell not... because 9.5 times out of 10 it doesn't work. Put the best QB on the field, QBs rarely get winded... only if they are running a lot.

RBs run, getting them tired. And the slot receiver isn't to wind a starter, but to throw in 3 WR sets...

Not buying it at all.

Because that would take too much on of an adjustment for the o-line to get used and memorize the different cadences used by each QB, not to mention to protect two very different blind spots. Plus most QB's enter the league in hopes of starting somewhere and being the franchise guy, not to split time with someone else.
