At the end of the day here are a few observations.... Let me know what you think....

...Mark Murphy is a light traveler. He went all the way down to Mississippi and did not bring much with him. And his body language tells me that he was not able to sway Favre incorporated to stay retired....

...I had fun watching Brett Favre play football with the high school kids. At the end of the day, he is just a player who wants to play. ? By the way, he looked to be in great shape to me. ?

...I thought Sedric Elllis looked very fat for his first Saints work out today -- VERY FAT....

...If the Commissioner does not activate Favre soon, then expect the Players Union to get involved.... SOON....

...The Jets are down to one blown first-round corner -- waving Andre Woolfolk today. Count the days 'til his worker comp claims....

...The Skins seem to be having too many players injured at camp....

...Something is going on with John Lynch of Denver. He is a class act and a great player.... If he retires, the Broncos will miss his leadership....

...If Bryan Leftwich signs with the Titans, he won't ever play. He is too slow with the ball, too deliberate, and cannot move his feet. Plus, he requires many reps to prepare to play, something back-ups rarely get....

...Smart move by the Browns giving some reps to Joshua Cribbs at QB. He can be deadly with the ball in his hands and will convert many third and shorts....

Tampa-Bound?

It's looking more-and-more like Brett Favre is going to wind up in Tampa. How the day's gone down: Favre talked about the big meeting last night, saying he and the Packers were at a "stalemate" and it was best for him to move on. Favre abruptly left Lambeau Field. PFT reported that the Bucs' GM Bruce Allen was absent from training camp (he is normally present...

Favre Wants To Be Released

Here is the latest on what Favre had to say about his situation with the Packers. Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre went into a meeting Tuesday morning acknowledging that he was at a "stalemate" with the team and believed the "best thing for this team is for us to part ways." "We're at a stalemate," Favre said. "Mike and I both agreed...

Breaking: Favre, Bucs To Chat

From Lombardi Ave: Chris Mortensen just reported on Sportscenter Now that Brett Favre will most likely talk with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today to talk about the possibility of a trade. This is starting to look like the Packers are forcing Brett to be traded rather than be released. Since the Packers were willing to give Favre $25 million to stay home they probably wouldn't have...

Gruden On Favre

"I got a lot of phone calls.  I got a lot of messages on my cell phone.  There's a lot of speculation out there.  I don't want to fuel any reports," Gruden said.  "I'll talk to [G.M.] Bruce Allen.  He's not here.  He's in New York for a league meeting.  There is a labor meeting there.  Bruce is the guy you need to talk to.  I've obviously been working with our football team...

Breaking: Brett Favre Reinstated, Flying to Green Bay; Mark Murphy Craps Himself

That supposed $25,000,000 marketing deal (...er bribe) offered by the Green Bay Packers? It wasn't enough to keep Brett Favre out of the NFL and the Packers camp - and I'm happy that Favre didn't bend over to make Aaron Rodgers and the Packers management team happy.

Favre Era in Green Bay All But Over

Brett Favre won't be playing for the Packers.  That's the only certainty coming out of Favre's lengthy discussions with Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.  McCarthy decided that Favre was still too emotional over recent troubles with management.  The next step is likely to be a trade.  There's a report in the "Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel" that Favre has...

Even Hitler is Pissed About Favre's Return

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk7lFGuW7_s Leave it to Deadspin to find a gem like this one, a great video with dubbed subtitles about Favre's return to Green Bay. The movie clip is originally from a German movie, Downfall, but has been parodied several other times about pointless topics such as Warcraft and Hitler's car being stolen. The subtitles, [...]

Favre Done as a Packer

It seems at least 90% certain that Brett Favre has played his last game for the Green Bay Packers. I don't know where I'm getting the 90% number from by the way…it just sounds good. You'd think by now I'd have learned not to make those kinds of statements. Anyway…here's Jay Glazer on last night's highly publicized five-hour powwow between Favre and...

Brett Favre Reinstated, Heading To Green Bay - GridironFans.com

ESPN's Ed Werder reports that quarterback Brett Favre has been reinstated to the NFL, and that Favre plans to travel to Green Bay on Sunday. "He is definitely leaving soon to go to Green Bay," Werder said. The report comes from Favre's claim that he believes NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has reinstated him. The team's position is that, because Sunday isn't an official NFL business...

Don’t look now but Favre is back

Brett Favre is back and he's the talk of the entire sports world. When he stepped off the airplane in Green Bay on Sunday night he was greeted by thousands of fans, all chanting his name and holding signs like "We love you Favre." Welcome back Brett. Now the questions begin. Since ...

Are You Ready For Another Brett Favre Sports Center Special?

I've been purposely trying to avoid everything Brett Favre but I can't seem to escape it. I said before that ESPN hasn't really had a choice to beat this story to death in the midst of a slow Summer, but they're doing yet another live Sports Center based today on Favre and Favre alone. If you're near a TV around 12:30, you might want to avoid ESPN....ESPN will present a SportsCenter...

Not as popular

NFL Piles of Cash to Retire?

I know everyone is completely sick of the Brett Favre situation and I said I wasn't going to talk about it, and then I did anyway, but I just want to touch on one singular topic and bust out a theoretical. In order to get Favre to stay in Mississippi, the Packers offered him 20 million to stay retired. The single question that came to my mind is how the hell could the NFL...
