Rossum, a Dallas Skyline alum, is expected to sign Wednesday. To make room for him on the 53-man roster, Dallas released cornerback Cletis Gordon.

The Cowboys' punt returners, Patrick Crayton and Terence Newman, struggled on Sunday. Crayton muffed one punt out of bounds, which technically was a sound play because he saved yards on a punt, and fumbled another. Cowboys agreed to terms with CB/KR Allen Rossum, formerly of the 49ers. It took the 34-year-old one day to find work after being cut by the Niners.
