Indy Star:
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. ? The Indianapolis Colts have lost the services of backup quarterback Jim Sorgi for a couple of weeks.
Sorgi limped off the practice field Friday afternoon after straining his right hamstring.
?Sorgi has got a pretty good strain,?? coach Jim Caldwell said this morning after the team?s annual Blue and White controlled scrimmage at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology?s Cook Stadium. ?Not quite certain how long it?s going to take him to get back, maybe two to three weeks.??
Sorgi?s absence leaves the Colts with only two quartertbacks on the roster ? Peyton Manning and rookie Curtis Painter.
The team probably will sign a third quarterback. It recently waived Chris Crane, a rookie out of Boston College.

It's been repeated millions of times, but preseason isn't the time to make too much out of results. So maybe the next few graphs on a Sunday off won't really matter and nobody will read too much into them. But I'm writing 'em, so at least you know an eyebrow was raised.

Less Mudd, more Moore
As some may have already read on indystar.com, the Colts' senior consultants made their plans for the immediate future known today at training camp. Colts offensive line coach Mudd returns, but it's only for this season
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rather than recognize Howard Mudd's noteworthy 12-year career as their offensive line coach by presenting him with a gold watch or rocking chair at the end of the season, there might be a more appropriate parting gift from the Indianapolis Colts.
