"The Gospel" Week 1 Wide-Receivers

I agree with you regarding Jerry Porter flying under a lot of people's radars including ours. AccuScore has him forecasted for almost an identical game to Curry (both with a bit over 50 yards and both with around 13.5 yards per catch) but I think Porter will do better. We are forecasting the Raiders with about 3 touchdowns in the game and I think at least one will end up in Porter's hands.

Porter has a good matchup, but I don't see him getting anything more than 70-75 receiving yards. I don't think he will find paydirt and his first real football game in two seasons. I do agree he is under the radar, but the Raiders aren't going to score TD's. It doesn't matter how bad the Lions defense is, people seem to forget this is the same Raiders team that averaged barely over 10 points per game in 2006.

They will be improved, but let's be realistic when it comes to them putting up 21+ points in the opener.
