There's a little "under the radar" quality happening here.

I have a feeling this acquisition will turn out to be a coup for Andy eventually. Book could definitely keep B-West in fresh legs throughout the game, as well as, the length of the season.

We may even see a return to that "3-headed monster" RB scheme from a few years back; (B-West, Booker, & Hunt?).

Think of the migraines they could gave other coaches on third down.

What youse think?

i'mnot sure how hunt will come out. replace hunt with buck

That'll work.
Moats as a decoy? (If he doesn't get cut.)

I think he's an insurance policy, much like Moats was in the beginning. I don't think there is room for more than 3 RB's so it ends up being a battle between Moats, Hunt and Buck. Pick your poison

There was talk a couple of months ago of giving Hunt some snaps at full back. I think Andy Reid thinks he could be a "Allstott Stlye" kind of back. I DIDN'T SAY HE WAS GOING TO BE ALLSTOTT ! ! ! But with him at Full back.... B WEST and BOOKER at half..... I think it all depends on how much Tony Hunt has been able to learn in the off season.

ALLSTOTT?

Wow.

Learn to spell, for the love of God.

Westbrook, Booker, and Buckhalter all have the same style, i think we have to keep 4 like we did last year, ( Mahe, Westbrook, Hunt, Buckhalter), and try and sneak moats on to the practice squad

except replace reno mahe with Lorenzo Booker, for this year.

If Hunt can prove his blocking ability it would be great to see him at FB but this is all our conversational ideas, very doubtful Andy is even thinking about it. I think we are set with the team how we have it, Im excited for the upcoming season

Hunt was originally a FB at PSU, but then he trimmed down to get more playing time. I am sure he could bulk up again and play that spot. He just needs to block better

Nothing will help.Tony Hunt sucks.

hey like I said, I'm all for it if its the best for our team

waittttt nooo noo...i think we should cut everybody but bwest and sign ricky williams when he becomes available!!!! right guys??? right>>? SIKEEEEE....i think rhcp has the right idea, i just dont know much about booker to give an opinion...

i still like Ricky.. not as much as i used to. but i dont think his hearts in it like it was, and now he's coming off that pectorial. i'm REALLY glad we didnt make that pick in '99.
can you imagine that state we'd be in today?
did it just get chilly in here?

I say we keep 3 RBs B-west, Book, and Hunt.. Have Klecko at FB

I am with you! That sounds like the best backfield to me!

i like what we've got going for us. Hunt will be a good power RB, then we have Booker for support if B-West needs it. this 3 headed monster, combined with LJ Smith catching passes in the redzone, and Curtis, Brown, and D JAX split wide, along with McNabb scrambling out all mean good things for our offense in 2008. people have to keep in mind that a West Coast offense like our own doesnt require a huge #1 wide receiver. nonetheless, i am awaiting a Marvin Harrison like bloom out of Brown this year, along with D Jax being a Steve Smith type WR. AND WE WILL HAVE THE #1 DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE. I CAN'T WAIT FOR 2008! E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!

good point about our W.C. offense. We need to get back to the roots of it, cause we need to have every piece of it running at 100% for it to be successful. something that really hasnt been the case since we cut the Crybaby. one instrumental player after another has been injured since that time; 5, Buck, LJ, etc.

not anything on the subject but needed to put this out there. tony homo has lived up to his reputation. he cant hold on to a football and now cant hold on to one ot the most beautiful women in the world with two footballs under her shirt. he has to be gay i mean i thought it was just us bustin on him but now i believe. go birds

is he 0-fer every game she's attended? talk about performance anxiety.
maybe we could get her to do a Monday morning QB report after each one of his losses. by now, she probably knows when hes gonna screw up before he does.

haha thats some funny azz sh!t lol

Yeah this is a Great Post and since some of you guys talked about the West Coast Offense i wanted to add that The Early yrs. of Mcnabbs Career with the Eagles like 00-04 Our West Coast offense Really Revolved around the Tight Ends Cuz i remember most Crucial plays that We have had towards the Endzone have been given to the Tight Ends Remember Chad Lewis LJ Smith Matt Schobel Last yr against Buffalo Celek....

What ive noticed alot is that One Everyone Knows That Dmac has the Best Deep Ball in the NFL amongst Current Qb's and if we look at alot fo the Games the WR are used more for Getting The Yards down the stretch to get to the Redzone than we usually use our Rb to get to about the Five or the endzone than we use the TE's for the Redzone TD if we didnt allready use westbrook or buck to make the TD...
Im not saying that Dmac has never scored in the Endzone with our WR cuz he has a heck of alot but for the majority of times the WR Score after a deep ball pass than they run it in the Endzone for the TD....

Since we didnt have much of a tight end presence last yr. we didnt capitalize like we have in the Past... i know everyone knows thats our style of play if im wrong someone please Correct me i dont mind the Correction...

RB now that it has so much depth hasnt been a worry to me yrs prior since we didnt have someone almost like Westbrook to carry the load would scare me cuz he carrys the offense for the most part an with out him we most of the time lose... So im glad that we are in depth and we can give time for westbrook to rest in an out of plays cuz we have the insurance policy in Booker....

Keep an eye on Tony during mini camp cuz 2 me and my personal opinion Hunt's a bust, but you neva know...

I think it should be Westbrook Booker and Buck if they stay with 4 Rbs an or switch one to FB position i would go with Hunt but ebilterate i have to agree with you he does seem like A bust.... but ryan moats if he doesnt get better will be fumbling balls an we dont need that Moats has an upside an that is his speed tony hunt has Strength an can break through tackles so that is a hard one if they were to keep someone an i obviously think they will have to keep one unless they draft one next yr cuz Buck is getting old an we cant really tell if he will stay healthy until he retires.... so all we have is Westbrook and Booker and ?

For now an i would say for the Next 4-6 yrs with these 2 guys we should be fine but a good number 3 is needed if Moats and Hunt cant get it done....

Well we are going to end up keeping one of them for the time being regardless if he helps or not so regardless of what anybody thinks one or the other will be in a midnight green jersey this Season... so until The FO resolves the 3rd string RBs Thats what we got....

It will be Buckhalter.

i agree that moats and hunt should be released IF we are only keeping 3, But the coaching staff will most likely keep 4 so they can keep hunt, unfortunately.

I really hope we keep Hunt cuz he didn't get a lot of chances to play last season so we can't jst assume that he is a bust without seeing what he can really do. I hope he gets more caries this season. If we keep four RBs I think it will be West, Book, Hunt and Buck I don't think moats will be on the roster cuz he almost the same style of play like West's and Booker.

I'm sure there must be some sound football reasons for not liking Tony Hunt. For me it's enough that he is a RB from PSU.

true, or you can look at the fact, that every time he was given the ball last year, he got 1 yard or less, (most of the time less).

haha, whats wrong with PSU thats my team. who doesnt love JoePa

I don't. The fact is he hasn't won squat in years and can no longer maintain respect and/or discipline from his players.

There is no reason to keep Moats or Hunt. They are both garbage and should be thrown away.

i dont know enough about booker yet but i do know that buck gives full effort every play, and he averaged over 5 yards a carry last year. did people forget that. i think moats is gone
