Dre Bly used to be amazing, but his days are numbered and as much as I hate to say it but Champs could be too. Gotta put Champ as one of, if not THE best CB of all time.

I think Pac will be reinstated pretty soon if you ask me, but if Thurman can play, Pac should be able to. I do think Pac and Newman will be pretty good tho

dtrik right once again. but army TOTALLY AGREED Asomugha might be the best in the league. Dont get me wrong I love Asante and Lito but I think this kid has all the potential in the world. Keep in mind, Andy tried aquiring Asomugha in a trade BEFORE the whole Asante thing too.

Champ is 29 so I don't think he'll be done for a while...look how long Deion played....I still think Champ is the best, yes Asomugha is good, but not on Champ's level

I need to correct the guy who commented on Lito and Asante need to move up until Lito gets traded. He should probably know that Lito while on the roster now is the 3rd CB. So it is Asante and Sheldon and it will never be different even if the Eagles keep Lito. Sheldon will not be moved to safety like some may think.
with all being said, I do disagree with your 4 and 5.
Al Harris is average at best. He's a PI penalty waiting to happen. Charles Woodson hasn't been good since leaving Oakland. All name value for both.
Speaking of name value, Quentin Jammer is just that. Has a great name for a corner. But break out the butter and JAMmer for him, because he got toasted alot last season.

Quentin Jammer is a beast. What team is Lito on right now? The eagles. So the top corners on the eagles are Lito and Asante. Lito will be traded, but Until then Lito and Asante are the best tandem.

Until any tandems play a couple of games, it's ludicrous to say your tandem is the best.

I'm basing 3 of the 5 from lasy year and the other 2 on how I think they'll pan out this season

What do Dallas fans think of Newman FIVER? I saw some improvement in him this year, but I still wasn't overly impressed.

In response to you TC...many of us DON'T want to trade Lito. However, we have to deal with the inevitability of him not being around next season. If he truly is as unhappy as everybody says he is then he'll be a distraction in the offseason, something we don't need. If he could stay and play, he'd be the starter. He'd have to earn it, but hes better than Shay Bro when healthy.

Newman is getting beat a lot less these days and I think he had a good year last year. Not sure I would rate him as a top five though. I think Pacman is a better cover corner than him.

Would you agree though that alot of the hype (for lack of a better word) that he is receiving is due to the fact the Cowboys had such a great regular season? I mean we see it every year that the best teams in the league earn the most probowl spots whether the players are truly deserving or not.

I just went in and checked his stats and he is getting a lot less passes thrown his way the last two years. I always go in and check stats when someone starts questioning me on stuff. I think he deserved the alternate position he got this year. QB's are going away from him now as a sign of respect, unlike the first couple of years he was in the league. Maybe this next season he makes it. Who knows? I just know he got the job done this past season and that's really all I care about.

Ok, I'm WAY LATE reading & replying, but I HAVE to tell you that I am an Eagles fan who does NOT want to see Lito traded. The Eagles defenses under Reid have been their best when we have 3 starting-caliber CB's. (Al Harris / Rod Hood @ the Nickel) Lito is currently listed as Samuel's backup because they both play the same side of the field, but we all know that depth charts can change. The possibility of keeping Brown on the field as a Safety is intriguing, but I can't claim to know what the coaching staff will do. Samuel / Sheppard is #1 on paper, while Samuel / Brown is # 2 behind Hall / Asomugha, and ahead of Bailey / Bly, Woodson / Harris and Jammer / Cromartie.

yea theres no denying Champ may be the best EVER. But hes def not the champ of a few years ago, although he can always turn things back around...he still has some time i think for sure

Champ Bailey, isn't ronnie Lott, Night Train Lane, Deion Sanders, Rod Woodson. So i think I AM denying that champ is the best ever. ( note that many more could, and do, easily fit on that list)

He'll be on that list when hes done rhcp...he's well on pace to be one of the best ever.
