Matt Jones will be the first one to tell you that Jacksonville had every justification for releasing him in March. He was suspended last season after a cocaine possession arrest. He went to jail for a week when he violated probation. He engaged in a weird war of words with Joey Porter.Add the mounting off-field issues to Jones' occasional on-field laziness, and the Jags really had no choice but to show him the door. It's not surprising that Jones has struggled to find a new home since then. Teams are understandably reluctant to bring in a receiver with red flags on his resume like "Drug Use" and "Attitude Problems."But here's what those worrisome tidbits are hiding: whichever NFL team finally takes a chance on Jones will be locking in a guy capable of putting up 1,000-plus yards and 10 touchdowns -- this season.

  • His worth would really depend on the orginizations need. The main problem with athletes that have these issues is as soon as they start doing well they generally slip right back into the old way of doing business. And also you don't want to disrupt a well functioning team with those type of antics. He is still young enough to prove himself changed so I trully wish him the best.
  • Yes I am a big fan of the Jacksonville and this might sound biased, but Matt Jones is definitely not worth the risk and he has shown us twice.
  • Two times is pretty much the limit, I would say. Usually like to give a person a pass maybe once, even twice depending on what it is.

We've been mentioned with the likes of Plaxico Burress or Brandon Marshall but another option which doesn't seem to have been considered is Matt...
