Westbrook's contract could be an issue

Hopefully the Eagles pay him. Joe banner is an idiot. I love Westbrook and he is the last player the Eagles should make unhappy. Who knows how many great years he has left in him though, 2 maybe?

Westbrook needs to threaten to get more vocal with his discontent. The Eagles will not give him money if they feel they do not need to, and as it currently stands, they do not need to. He has no leverage unless he starts to go T.O. on them.

Westbrook has been nothing but consistency and class his whole carreer. I don't see him going TO on anyone. However, if he doesn't get paid, I wouldn't hold it against him if he asked to be traded or something like that. There's no one on the team who deserves his money like BWest.

I think Brian Westbrook is the most dynamic Eagle since Randall. hes to much of a first class guy to act like a total psycopath like TO. I think he knows that he has the support of the team, fans and players around the league on gettn paid. I think if the Eagles do not pay him, the Front Office will loose a lot of respect from the players who are on the team, players around the league. Nobady want to work for an employer who is dubed as cheap

think about it.... hez close to 30 years old.... Eagles don like players who climb over the 30 hill.... and if he does get payed... which i hope he does its going to be a fucking rediculous amount becuz letz be honest... Westbrook isnt the most humble back in the league... i say atleast 12 mil per season.....and knowing this league he will never play out that entire contract...... I love having the best player on my team but im hoping the eagles dont let him grab them by the balls....

It is logical for the birds to pay him. He has earned it. The shelf life of Halfbacks isn't very long so hopefully he will get his money. TO, despite his craziness, was right in wanting more money because of him out playing his contract. This was especially true in the superbowl. He just went about getting more money in the wrong way. Westbrook isn't like that at all. He will continue to be very classy. While some consider the Eagles brass as being cheap, they forget two important things.
1) They are just smart. They lock up players who are young and have potential for years.
2) The players don't have to sign these deals. They could wait, but they don't.
So basically he should get more but HE signed the contract.

westbrook is one player who EARNS his money. he should retire (a long time from now) an eagle. pay the man!
