FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN OTHER ASPECTS OF EAGLES OFFENSE/DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS BESIDES THE WR!!!

I think although it's great anticipating the blockbuster trade between the Cards and the Eagles, there are a lot of people who are looking at other positions for evaluations. Post comments on what's in the back of your mind besides concern for the Eagles' WR corps. I would like to start off by asking, the Eagles have not yet addressed the fullback position to challenge Jason Davis, do the Eagles think he is the one? Another food for thought: Tra Thomas is on of the best in the business, but his age and durability (back spasm, except last year) is still in question. Winston Justice last year for sure did not gain my support to take over Tra's position any time soon. Running back position? I know the Eagles were interested in Julius Jones of Cowboys, what next???

The reason people are so obsessed with WR is because it's the only skill position that needs upgrading. You can sign a FA FB or draft one in the 5th or 6th round. The o-line is fine and I have a feeling that Runyan and Thomas still have a good amount of juice left in them.

Josh Parry was released last year.. Our FB is jason Davis.. The Eagles seem pretty high on him but look to draft one to give sum comp. Juluis Jones signed with the Seahawks but I like Bulkhalter and i think Hunt could b special. Maybe we'll look at RB/KR/PR Chris Johnson in te draft to kill 2 stone at once. I think we will definately draft a LT in the draft because Winston is suited for RT which he will b just fine at. I like Mikell so i think we should wait til next year to draft a SS. There will b alotta 1st round caliber safeties. i think we jus need to worry about LT, CB, DE. DT for depth.

But all that is after we sign a #1 WIDE RECIEVER!!!!!

Check that out for my thoughts on some RB depth.

we need a fb, and thats it on offense.... and not much on D, except maybe a db in the late rounds of the draft (cause lito is gone already) and maybe another fs prospect to learn from dawkins, before the grim reper has his way with 'em

LORENZON IS STILL A FA, AS FOR LINE MAX JEAN GILLES AND SHAWN ANDREWS ALONG WITH JAMAAL JACKSON IS REALLY GREAT WE JUST NEED SOME NEW BLOOD AT OT, I THINK REID IS LOOKING FOR AN ALL BLACK LINE MY BAD FOR BEING RASCIST

first a wide out most likely fitz then sign a fullback neal or someone else and find a good punt/kick return man. we need big plays to set our offence up in greaqt field position

Wow out of all the other positions that you guys are talking about besides WR, it's the FB and Oline? What about the LB or TE? Don't get me wrong, the young linebackers played above expectations last season but there's no depth at that position. It's nice to see the front office and coaches are confident in this young group but are they really going to be able to perform the entire season?

LJ Smith, Schobel, and Celek? Isn't it time for the Eagles to go out and find a real playmaker at this position? The other NFC East teams have solid playmakers at that position and yet we r stuck with LJ who has been underachieving his entire career. For a team that throws the ball a lot and hasn't had a true #1 WR other than T.O. you would figure that you would good better production out of that position.

I think the Eagles will draft Oline in this draft so I'm not really concerned about that position. From what I can see on the Eagles website, Thomas and Runyan will be free agents at the end of this season. They could easily sign one of them for another 2 or 3 seasons to help develop the young players and use the franchise tag on the other. Brian Dawkins is also a FA after this season so we will see how that goes.

Were fine LB and TE Jim Johnson knows what hes doing, while we could use a guy like Dan Connor or Adibi, we have the perfect LB corps. and TE we are fine if LJ is healthy Brent shows talent, and MAtt Schobel is aite, i wouldnt mind drafting Jermicahel Finely but its not that necessary our guards and center are fine but our tackles are either old and experienced like i said all black line is reids goal lol

Runyan is old, as for LB we have young guys thats great, Jim Johnson is best defensive coordinator in the league while adibi or connor could help we are very solid and look to have a great season, as TEs i know what u mean, but a healthy LJ is pretty monstrous, he could very well be a pro bowl TE next year, as McNAbb a pro bowl QB. Drafting Jermichael Finley might help but TEs arent tall like they used to be, theyre like HB size,

Really Princede? The perfect LB corps? I don't know how you can say that when they are inexperienced. They're quick and young that's the most you can say about them right now and that's not saying much.

Like I said, LJ has yet to produce as a playmaker as a TE. Everyone in the NFL has talent, they wouldn't be there if they didn't have talent. But there's a big gap between a playmaker and a person with talent and every team in the NFC East has a playmaker and we just got talent at the TE. The Eagles should have let LJ go and signed Crumpler, plain and simple.

i hope we can get some depth at def. tackle!!!

You're still not listening. Right now the only positions that you can say that dont have a ? mark are our Oline, QB, RB, Dline, kickers, and secondary. Which leaves LB, WR, TE, and special teams. I look at LB as young and quick but no depth or experience. That's not considered solid. This offense has done pretty well with spreading the ball around the past 5-6 years but we still need that #1.

LJ Smith is not a monster. Everytime he catches the ball it's nerve wrecking cause you know there's a pretty good chance he will fumble because he doesn't protect the ball. He doesn't put up pro bowl numbers and has yet to have a breakout season. You look at teams like Dallas, NYG, and SD they have there TE as their #2 option in the passing game. LJ is our 4th and we don't have a #1 WR like those teams have. Hopefully it is this season, but there's nothing in his career that can make you say he is a playmaker.

So you're basically saying that guys like Witten, Schockey, Crumpler, Gates, and Tony don't have any size? Last time I checked, they are some big players and they're not the only TE in the NFL who are built like pass rushing defensive ends.
